We arrived here yesterday around 5pm and unpacked, grocery shopped, poured a beer and waited . . . Wynneth and Tom duly arrived and helped us down another beer or so whilst we chatted and tried to stay awake until a seemly bed time!!!
Thursday arrived and we were heading off (the four of us) to an airshow where Wynneth and I dropped the boys off before heading off for some retail therapy . . . .
First we hit Violette's so I showed Wynneth quickly round to ensure she didn't miss anything and then we headed back to the start . . . small basket or large basket - might have been better to have had a trolley!!! We were there a while and had a nice chat to Diana (the owner) and even persuaded her to take this shot of the serial shoppers - we now have our very own loyalty cards and have promised to return next week with Karen in tow too!!!
From there we went to Lakeland Art & Glass where the cats were desperate to be our new best friends but neither of us bought much - I think they must be running stock levels down to re-stock!!
Moving swiftly on to Target, for a quick Starbucks Frapuccino and snackette before heading next door to Michaels armed only with a credit card and a 40% discount voucher - Yee Ha indeed!!! Of course, there were the hats! as well as the stamps . . .
Once we'd shopped enough . . . is there truly any such thing as "shopped enough"? we headed back to the airfield to collect the boys and drive back to our place for a cold non alcoholic drink and then on to the Longhorn steakhouse for dinner - mmmmm, those steaks were fabby, weren't they?
And this is where I'll leave you today, dear reader/s!. Wynneth and Tom will be here later today ...... Wynneth and I plan to get some ink on some of those bad boys and Tom will hit the pool deck with a book whilst Steve will probably potter and then leap in to the pool - once it's reached an acceptable temperature!!! It was only 70 degrees when we arrived but has already risen to 82!!! mmmmm sound inviting? Get your cossie on then!
There's no Friday Funny whilst I'm in Florida but hope to resume upon my return home to Blighty
