Oooh Rain, rain and surprise surprise . . . more rain!

You can probably guess from the title of this post that we had a bit of rain yesterday. Actually quite a bit of rain and were even woken a couple of time during the night by said rain. It started yesterday afternoon and went on almost solidly through the night - an eagle eyed friend spotted me on-line at stupid O'Clock and queried whether I was OK - fine just awake due to the rain!

This morning has dawned grey, cooler but DRY. YAY. Now, don't get me wrong, Florida needs some SERIOUS rain as this was about the first seen since early September but does it have to come down in buckets?

Fortunately, we seemed to be just ahead of it wherever we went yesterday. Len and Koreen invited us to join them on a foray to Smokey Bones BBQ restaurant in Kissimmee for an early dinner and it would have been rude to say no now, wouldn't it? We left home, to light sprinkles, around 5:00 pm and enjoyed our meal at Smokey Bones. As we emerged from the restaurant to a glorious sunset we again felt light sprinkles and drove home through a little more rain arriving to find the place totally dry but a little cooler - NICE! We stood out on the drive chatting for a while as it was so pleasant but gave up as it started to sprinkle upon us. We'd not been inside long when we heard this terrific noise, looked out and found, a wall of grey . . . . rain!!

Just as we headed to bed and were turning off the lights we saw our first frog of the stay . . . needless to say I rushed for my camera but the little froggy had hopped it before I returned, sorry peeps.

Well, it's our last Thursday today and we've nothing planned except chicken and pasta for dinner tonight (a la Steve!) but I'm sure that, weather permitting, we'll head off somewhere. It WON'T be to see the launch of the space shuttle, Endeavour, though as this has been cancelled because of the weather. It was originally scheduled for the 1st, then the 2nd and then the 3rd - now they aim to try for the 4th!!! Good luck NASA!

Whatever's on your agenda readers, hope it's a good day for you all.

Curses! I can't believe the froggies are still evading my attentions Kathy...hmph! They are just too cute! Glad to hear the rain has stopped and you managed to catch up on a few more Zzzzzz's. Will that be the last ever take off or have I remembered that wrong? Lx

If it's any consolation - we have loads of rain as well. So you're not alone. That sunset is beautiful, thankyou for sharing it.
Have fun and stay safe
