2nd post of the day - please scroll down to read earlier post

Hmm - obviously not a good crafting day for me today. First off I misread (or didn't pay attention to) the instructions over on the Less is more challenge which stated that my IMAGE should be off the edge. Then, when I decided to have another go my first choice of stamp (which was a Hero Arts collage stamp) fell off the acrylic block as I turned it over to stamp it and (wouldn't you know it) it didn't land where I wanted it!!! Somewhat disappointed with this stamp (it was it's first outing too) I selected another (this time by Inkadinkado) and stamped it . . .  and the results you see below. I'm not convinced though that it is good enough to enter as the standards are remarkably high in only a few weeks, people are obviously loving this challenge.

Materials used:
  • White DL "linen effect" card and envelope
  • Inkadinkado image and Papermania sentiment inked in Memento tuxedo black and coloured using markers

I resisted the urge to colour in the entire image or to embellish it with gems or glitter but do feel it needs a further something.

It's also been suggested that I enter this in to the Ladybug Crafts Ink challenge where the challenge is "Spring Colours"

You are such a star for having another go Kathy... I told you you were forgiven for the sentiment... however this one is fab... so I'm really glad you had another go!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I saw this card earlier on blogger and thought it looked stunning and have just read your piece saying that you aren't happy with it- I can't believe this! I think it is so difficult to stamp directly onto a card especially to make up the floral corners that you have done with different colours. Trust me this card is perfect just the way it is. You have got a good eye for these less is more challenges- I have seen a few of yours now and they are all very sophisticated looking cards.

I like this lovely floral card. Well done for persevering! Don't you just HATE insubordinate stamps. Put it on the naughty box for a while and show it who's boss! LOL!

Kathy i like how you have used similar colours throughout all of your cards, sort of gives them continuity.
It is VERY annoying when a stamp falls off your acrylic block and won't stay on, happens to me on my older mounted stamps or the ones i use the most. Do you think it is wear and tear? Shouldn't happen but it does lol...
Have a fabulous week:-)
