Welcome to another Bank Holiday Monday

Hi folks and welcome to the start of another week. The best laid plans etc - we HAD planned to see the penultimate shuttle launch but it was postponed from Friday to early this afternoon. EXCEPT it's been cancelled again and won't now be launched until after we've returned home to the U.K., which is a great shame but at least we HAVE seen two previous launches (one night and one day) so we feel pretty lucky in that.
Yesterday we went out for a drive with no particular agenda . . . we had also planned to eat at home but . . .
Our hire vehicle for the duration - a Dodge Nitro!

An Osprey nest outside the local airfield

Fab sunset

And we ended up at the Outback steakhouse, which sure beat cheese on toast!!! We've not been there in a while as it's been so crowded each time we've visited (sometimes with over an hour to wait for a table) but we fancied a change so set off perhaps a little earlier than normal. Imagine our surprise to find the place with more staff than customers - was there a match on somewhere?!?!? Mike our waiter assured us it would be crowded real soon and he wasn't wrong - by the time we left they were waiting in line for tables! The meal was great and the steak one of the best this vacation. I enjoyed their BIG BLOKE Fosters (22oz!!) too but no room for a dessert! Then it was back home and, being such a lovely evening, we sat out on the pool deck and watched the sun set.

No plans for the day today - other than enjoy the sunshine, I hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday Monday and that the weather is being kind to you too.

Hope your week is off to a good start - ENJOY
