Welcome to Friday - has your weekend started yet?

Hi all,

Friday again - got anything planned this weekend?

It's challenge day over at Bah Humbug and I am lucky enough to be a Guest Design Team Member for the month of July so here is my DT card for their theme this week, which is: SHAPED CARDS

Materials used:
  • Triangular card, made using a template not a pre purchased card and matching envelope
  • Triangle of burgundy card
  • I think the snowman image is by Stampa  Rosa and it was inked in versamark and then heat embossed using glitter gold embossing powder.
  • Pro Markers to add just a little colour
  • Silver brad to attach my snowman to the card and to allow movement too
  • Papermania glitter "waves" and three faux crystal gemstones to finish
Hope you like it and want to head over and have a go at the challenge yourself - it's one way of increasing your Christmas card collection so you aren't desperately trying to get them all done in November!! Been there, done that - forgot the T-Shirt!

Last evening saw me out with "the girls" - I have known these girls almost all of my life as we grew up together and went to school together - we've been friends for almost 50 years!! OH MY GOSH that sounds dreadful when put like that!!! We might not see each other as often as we would like but when we do meet up it's just like the last meeting was just days ago, how great is that? Since Naomi and I live closer together than Andrea, I picked Naomi up - and got to meet her cute little puppy Mally. Sadly, being a puppy, he's really not good at staying still for the camera!
Onwards, to dinner and the Mezze restaurant ...... we met up with Andrea in the parking lot and headed in for dinner and a splendid evening with friends. Quite a large group as it turned out as a bunch of Naomi's friends/colleagues were seated just a couple of tables away!!! Small World eh? After taking an age to decide what to eat we ordered two pork stifado's and a pan friend monkfish - both delicious - and although we all tried to save room for dessert we could only manage one ........ and three spoons!!! - and settled on the baked ginger cheesecake with berries, yummmmmmmmmmmmmm! Andrea's hubby collected her and Naomi and I headed home - full of plans to do it again (possibly over lunch) during the summer holidays, Naomi is a teacher you see. Thanks girls - I had a blast!, and am looking forward to it already.

And now for the FRIDAY FUNNY which, this week, comes courtesy of the lovely Lilian - who's currently enjoying some quality crafting time in Germany with a crafting pal!!!

A sixty-ish woman was at home happily jumping on her bed and squealing with delight.

Her husband watches her for a while and asks, "Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look?, What's the matter with you?"

The woman continues to bounce on the bed and says, "I don't care, I just came from having a mammogram and the doctor says I have the breasts of an 18 year-old".

The husband said, "What did he say about your 66 year old ass?"

"Your name never came up," she replied.

(Men . . . They just never know when to shut up, do they?)

Have a fab weekend and will see you all at the Sketchie and Less Is More challenges tomorrow!

Hi Kathy, No plans here, just a relaxing weekend as nearing the end of school term it's been manically busy! Love the card & you could always put a surprise little greeting under the snowman too. Tee hee at the Friday funny!
