Morning - Monday again

Hello readers,

OK, who (like me) forgot to watch Create and Craft on Saturday to see Barbara Grey of Clarity Stamps with a technique masterclass? I watched them last year and quite enjoyed them but clean forgot on Saturday morning. Clare, over on Craftbubble thoughtfully posted the link to Create and Crafts - video pages so you can watch them as many times as you like. I checked it out, here, yesterday but Saturdays hadn't yet been uploaded so I shall check back later in the week ...... but to those who missed any, you can catch up by using this link.

Having entered the photo/colour inspiration challenge over on Simply Less Is More and declared the colours to be a range I wouldn't normally put together - I fear I may have to take that back! I had another go yesterday, it started off as CAS tag but, as often happens in my world, the project got away from me and ended up about as UN-CAS as you could get so, nothing for it but to mount it on a card to make it a CAS card instead!! Ta Da! There are no mistakes in art ..... as Kate Crane famously said on one of her art journaling DVD's, so you can see below how it turned out. I haven't placed a sentiment as it could actually fit many occasions. I think the random splats work well in these colours .... but it could JUST be me!

Materials used:
  • 5" x 7" 300gsm white card and matching envelope
  • Die cut tag, from Bristol board
  • Fiskars ribbon border punch
  • Narrow white satin ribbon coloured with alcohol markers and then tied in knots through the ribbon holes in the tag and again at the hole at the top of the tag
  • Recollections splat images inked in Versacolour lime and Studiog pink
  • Free stamp from current issue of Craft Stamper, inked in Versacolour raspberry
  • Lime brad to attach tag to base card
Did you get any snow yesterday? We didn't but we did have an overnight frost!!! What IS the matter with our weather? After a glorious week, we got to the weekend and the weather got blooming cold - wonder what will be instore for us over Easter then!

Have a great Monday
