Morning - here are some of my recent makes ....

Morning and welcome to Thursday,

For a change ....... it's actually not raining and I've even heard that the hosepipe bans in our regions are likely to be lifted today!! A little surprising if they hadn't been - given the amount of rain over the last couple of weeks.

We got back, yesterday, from a brilliant couple of days away. We were visiting friends, Wynneth and Tom, and they made us very welcome and it is ALWAYS nice to have a pal to craft with. Wynneth and Tom very kindly converted their conservatory in to a temporary craft room as Wynneth (quite rightly) declared her craft room to have "insufficient space" for two people to craft in - bit of an understatement but I won't dwell on that!

We stayed in a nice hotel just a short car journey from Wynneth and Tom AND they had decorated our room in PURPLE (how COULD they have known?) even giving us the most enormous purple throne (sorry, chair). I really should change the photo taken in to my new avatar! Hmmmm. If you missed that then check out the pic here

It was great, a little crafting on Monday and a lot on Tuesday but just enough to keep me amused for the journey home on Wednesday! I craft really quickly - ask anyone that's ever crafted with me - if my name wasn't the Purple Princess then it COULD be the speedy Princess!, so I do have more projects to share with you than Wynneth and, since you've done nothing to offend me .... I won't share them ALL with you in one post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So here are a few of them ........ I hope you'll persevere to the end as the last photo is sooooooo darned cute!

Materials used:
  • 5" square, 300 gsm white card
  • Two white card panels
  • Hero Arts old letters script inked in versamark on to the larger panel and then permanent red pan pastel applied
  • TPC studio plane image inked in versamark and then Phthalo green pan pastel applied. TPC studio swirl inked in versamark and then phthalo green applied again.
  • TPC studio sentiment inked in Versafine onyx black

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Hero Arts old letters image inked in versamark ink before applying Phthalo green pan pastel and setting with hairspray
  • Inkadinkado  sprig from their MEADOW clear set of stamps, inked using versafine onyx black ink

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Post its to define the coloured panel
  • Pan pastels in Bright Yellow Green and Phthalo Green
  • TPC Studio helicopter, arrow and sentiment inked using Versafine onyx black

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • WOW brocade image inked using versamark ink and then pan pastel violet tint applied before setting using hairspray
  • Dark Room Door sentiment inked using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Sticky dots applied to two edges and sprinkled with a WOW purple embossing powder and heated
  • Three faux purple gemstones applied to flourishes to embellish

And finally ...... the eyeballs!!! Known as the eyeballs as, when this cat was just a kitten we often used to just see two huge eyes peering in at us through our patio doors. Any action from us resulted in those eyeballs "legging it"!!!

Awww isn't he cute? but he's VERY timid

Hope you weren't too bored - maybe you even enjoyed the projects - hope so - thanks for persevering and have a great Thursday

Bored ?? how could we get bored :) I loved each one of your cards Kathy, all so creative and I love that Planes, trains etc sentiment too.. just so perfect for men! I remember hubby buying one of those things where the cars run on, don't know what you call them.. but he wanted to buy it for our son when he was young. Well he was always playing with it as son got bored with it so quickly ha ha :D

Talk about super crafty woman! You really were busy. It sounds like you had a lovely break with Wynneth and Tom, lovely to hear. As for the purple room, how funny is that! I wonder if Wynneth gets to keep her transformed conservatory crafty?

Hiya crafing bud - sorry I've been MIA for the past few days, just trying to catch up with your blog posts !!

I love that bauble stamp and your 'something shiny' card is so elegant. Great to see your Cornish makes again too - you did some cracking work. Yes Katie, my conservatory has remained a crafty space - but I have sneaked back into the dining room, just a tad mind you LOL

It was sooooo lovely to have you both visiting and to have crafting time with you - I'm looking forward to the next time !
