TGIF and the usual Friday Funny!!!

Hi folks, as another weekend looms large I hope you all have plans. I'm told the weather's supposed to be on the change over the weekend so, if you've a BBQ planned then you might want to do it tonight or tomorrow as Sunday may be too late!!!

We managed only our second BBQ of the year on Wednesday and our guests (surrogate daughter 2 and her hubby) enjoyed it too. Surrogate daughter 2 is really struggling with the heat as she is due to give birth in early August - thankfully, it had started to cool (slightly) by the time we were ready to eat!!

Yesterday it was out to dinner again for us (bit of a busy week for us), this time at the home of our pal and neighbour, Debbie. Now Debbie is having some contractors in to carry out some work for her and hubby was commissioned to de-install her PC - to avoid any problems with dust and Debbie very kindly offered to turn a relatively mundane chore in to an evening with friends - thanks matey! We had a brilliant time too, Debbie decided it was too hot to cook and enlist outside caterers in the form of Mr Marks and Mr Spencer - they did a great job!

I've done an art journal page which is for the pan pastels blog challenge, this week their challenge is: MAGICAL AND MYSTICAL - removing me from my comfort zone. This is not one of my favourite of my journal pages but ......

Materials used:
  • Pan Pastels and fixative
  • Scrap paper to create moon and hill masks
  • Lavinia stamps
  • Crystal stickles
  • Computer generated journalling attached using a Xyron sticker maker
  • Fabe Castell Pitt pen for the border round the journalling
  • Date stamp
And now for the Friday Funny which, once again comes via the e-mail system from my pal, Pat - thanks Pat! Hope you will all enjoy it this week, sure has the AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH factor!

This has to be one of the best singles ads ever printed. It is reported to have been listed in the Cornish Guardian.

SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good girl who LOVES to play. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me.. Call 01272-6420 and ask for Annie, I'll be waiting.....

page down - don't give up now ..........

Over 150 men found themselves talking to the Truro RSPCA!!!

Have a fab Friday and a stupendous weekend.
