What happened to Wednesday?

Hi there and welcome to Thursday!! Honestly, I set out yesterday with the best of intentions. I photographed my work desk and even had a project laid out but then the day just got away from me!!!!

Materials used:
  • 7" x 5" 300 gsm white scallop edged card and matching envelope
  • Michael Powell image inked in Memento tuxedo black on to white card
  • Pan Pastels and a pointed Sofft tool applied to colour image
  • Winsor and Newton Pastel fixative
  • Brown card cut very slightly larger than image panel
  • White card cut slightly larger than matted image panel before Tim Holtz checker board image stamped numerous times using versamark ink and then coloured with yellow ochre and raw sienna pan pastel, again set using the pastel fixative
  • Narrow satin ribbon in beige, tied round the card and knotted off centre
  • Crafty Individuals sentiment inked in Memento rich cocoa
Anyway, that's how the project ended up ...... now back to yesterday -

We met up with friends for lunch, which meant leaving the house around 11:00. Imagine my surprise when we got home from lunch at around 5:30 p.m.!!! Then of course, having eaten waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much we were overcome with the urge to nap - like you do when you are stuffed to the gunwales. Hmm - great day with friends and very good food too. Wanna know where we went? Check out the link to the Bell Inn at Frampton on Severn here. I had the fish and chips followed by Eton Mess as a dessert - mmmm - but portions so large that I probably don't need to eat till the weekend!! YUMMMMMMMM After our leisurely lunch we strolled about the car park which faces a very large village green and we stumbled across the pigs and chickens, there are supposed to be pygmy goats and Jacob sheep too but they must have been hiding out in the paddock ...... otherwise there WOULD have been photos of those too

Our pals ..... Liz, Graeme and the SPECIALS board!!

Four tired Gloucester Old Spot piglets!!!

And some chickens and, yes, that IS a rabbit on the left too!!!!

We had a smashing day and plan to head back to either the Bell Inn or one of it's sister restaurants in the not too distant future ..... as soon as our waistbands can stand it!

Today is the 9th wedding anniversary of surrogate daughter 2 and her hubby, so HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Becky and Chris, here's to many more.

Jean over at the Crafty Individuals blog has candy on offer till Tuesday July 17th if you are interested and are already a follower - check out the rules here - fab selection, huh? Thanks for the chance Jean.

Have a fab Thursday

Super Michael Powell card.

Is there a better feeling than when you've enjoyed a good meal in the company of good friends and can then go home and nap? Bliss!

Great pictures . . . of course I was very interested in the chooks! But the piggies are so CUTE! Shhh! Don't tell the chooks I said that!
