Sunny Sunday with showers!

Hi there,

Yes, you read right - it's sunny here but the forecast is for frequent and sometimes heavy showers from lunch time onwards. Hubby's planning to head off to the model flying field this morning, just as soon as their club rules allow (not before 10:00) and is planning to take a plane that doesn't need to be taken apart for transportation - that way, when the storm hits, he can just throw it in the back of the car and run for cover!!

We had thought about heading out for a drive this afternoon but, with the forecast the way it is, we may just decide to stay in and amuse ourselves with our respective hobbies.

Joanna Sheen's blog has a new challenge entitled "TRY SOMETHING NEW" - new style, new technique, something along those lines

Over on the Pan Pastels blog the new challenge is entitled "SUMMER FUN" and is fairly open about how you interpret the theme. You also don't HAVE to use pan pastels BUT you can win some by entering .......

So, I decided to go with a new technique - image transfer, using gloss gel medium and chose this photo - I don't plan to use the whole photo for my image transfer though.

Want to see how it turns out? For those of you who've used gel medium before you are already going to know how long this stuff takes to dry .... so you might want to check back later ..... and keep your fingers crossed!

Have a great Sunday

Hi Kathy. I have blue skies and sunshine at the moment and forecast ongoing. Sorry not been around but we are in wonderful California and heading for San Diego today. Hopefully I will find wifi somewhere and get back to see your summer transfer. Hope hobby gets his day of flying.

The weather is up and down here at the moment. I'm crossing fingers for some sunshine on Thursday as I've planned a bday party for Amelie at the local park.
Fingers crossed.
