Monday again

And the Purple Princess is away from her desk .... I'm off gallivanting round Swindon with a crafting pal, Debs, we're meeting at Snazzy's and may even do some shopping and lunching and nattering - my hubby's given me instructions to head to the outlet village afterwards (!?!) as he has a hankering for ..... chocolate from the Cadbury shop! No arguments from me then!

Anyway, that was by way of explaining the slightly short post from me, the first project I have to share with you is a challenge entry for the Pan Pastels blog. It's brilliant because you don't HAVE to use Pan Pastels for the entry but you DO get the chance to win some!! How cool is that? This week's challenge is entitled "BY THE SEA" and I  think you will see where I was coming from with this ......

Materials used:
  • 300gsm deckle edged white card and matching envelope
  • 10cm x 14cm navy blue pearlised card panel
  • 9½cm x 13½cm white card panel
  • ALL images and sentiments by Crafty Individuals - Vintage bather image inked in Memento Paris Dusk, Birds inked using Memento London fog and all remaining images inked using Memento tuxedo black
  • Alcohol markers to colour beach huts
  • Pan Pastels used to simulate sky, beach and water - sadly my colouring with PP's still needs work but then, I'm no artist!!

The second project I'd like to share is intended as another entry to the "FOLIAGE" challenge over on the Simply Less Is More blog.

Materials used:
  • 300 gsm white deckle edged C6 card and matching envelope
  • Post it, used as a mask for the large leaf image
  • Large and small leaf images, by Petaluma, inked using Memento rhubarb stalk and potters clay plus Brilliance rust inks
  • Imagine That sentiment inked using Memento rhubarb stalk

Have a fantabulous Monday and do check back tomorrow in case there are incriminating photos of crafters at play!!!
