Tuesday trim day!

Morning all,

What are you all up to this fine Tuesday morning? Me? I'm off to the hairdressers but going via the home of a pal, for coffee, first. Sounds like a nice enough morning doesn't it? Nothing major at the hairdressers jut the usual primp and trim .... in an attempt to tame the fringe (bangs) once more!

Visited surrogate daughter2 yesterday afternoon (on my way home from shopping), pleased to report that Zac slept the whole time I was there and Becky tells me they were about to head off to a mother and baby group meeting just after I left - lucky I didn't outstay my welcome!

Bit of crafting to share with you today, the first is a card I made inspired by the ovals challenge over on Simply Less Is More ..... I was going to enter it but it's a little bit similar to the 2nd entry so decided against it - I reckon it's perfect for a little boy - what do you think? In the interest of trying challenges irregularly, here's another I'd like to share with you. Joanna Sheen's challenge blog has launched the theme "SO SWEET" so I plan to have a go at that ...... it's not like I DON'T have plenty of cutesie images that I could use! I seem to have moved away (mostly) from cutesie so perhaps it's time to revisit CUTE! - I think this card is really sweet for a little boy! - don't you? I just hope that the ladies at Joanna Sheen see it as sweet too, rather than wanting cupcakes 'n stuff! You can enter this challenge up till September 27th.

Materials used:
  • 300 gsm white deckle edged C6 card and matching envelope
  • Die cut bright blue scalloped oval

  • Blue/white bakers twine wrapped round the card and tied to a know off centre
  • TPC Studio sentiment inked in Memento Bahama blue directly on to the base card

And the second card is for the "AUTUMN" challenge over on the Pan Pastels blog and features the glorious ochre/red/browns associated with autumn along with the curling foliage ......

  • 250 gsm 12½ cm square white card and matching envelope

Now I'd like to welcome a new follower, Darnell, she's another LIM-ette!. Hi there, Darnell - hope you will pop back from time to time too.

Hope you like my cards today - Have a great Tuesday
