Morning and hi to another working week!

And we're off and running with another week - how was your weekend? Ours was much quieter than the last one (for those of you who've been living in a cave and missed it .... it was craftathon and a full on weekend. For photos see the separate page in my side bar). Though I DID head out on Saturday to meet up with one of my fellow attendees of Craftathon who had left her camera with me in error - glad to have had an excuse to meet up and to have reunited you with some stash, some sweeties and your camera!

Cold and grey and not really a very encouraging day yesterday - staying in to craft seemed a much better option - though hubby DID rather rashly head off to spend his morning standing in the middle of a field! Rather him than me!

Over on the Craftbubble group Craft Mad and Loving It it was Beckit's turn to launch a challenge but she's temporarily disappeared from view (hope you are OK Beckit) so Clare stepped up to the plate, only to discover that she's having the same problem that I had recently (no internet) so I posted it for her ... her challenge was "SPRING CLEANING". Now I don't do domesticity so right off the bat I was thinking laterally and, if there isn't a book with this title already then there should be! ....... 101 alternate uses for a broom!! and this is what I came up with .....

Materials used:
  • 300 gsm deckle edged white C6 card and matching envelope
  • Die cut scallop of purple hand made glitter paper
  • Smaller Go Kreate scalloped oval die used to cut out the image panel
  • Art Impressions witchy image stamped using Memento tuxedo black
  • Alcohol markers to colour image
  • Computer generated sentiment

And now on to the second card of the day, for another Craftbubble group challenge, this time set by Tinz with the theme of "ICY COLOURS" which set me thinking about Christmas cards - go figure!

Materials used:
  • 15 cm square, 300 gsm, white scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
  • 13½cm square turquoise hand made glitter paper
  • 13 cm square white card panel
  • Sizzix die cut words (blog candy from Brenda - thanks mate) cut from DCWV blue textured card
  • Sizzix snowflakes cut in DCWV blue card and the turquoise glitter paper
  • Silver "sugared" brad

There, those were yesterdays makes - hope you like them and thanks for stopping by

Happy Monday - I've a few pal's feeling under the weather and would just like to say "feel better soon, peeps" to them - and a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to crafting pals, Jan for today and Wynneth for tomorrow

Icy colours? The sun is shining for a change here. But I love the Christmas card and I'm glad you found some use for the die.
Have a great week.

Ah, you are back in the swing of things now you are re-connected. Still can't warm to the C card this time of year, even though it's pretty.

Oh Kathy, love your take on the "Spring Clean" challenge and I agree with the book title thing!
We have beautiful sunshine today although its still cold. Don't fall off your chair but its supposed to get upto 16 here tomorrow! Can you believe it? Less than 2 weeks ago we were deep in snow.
Have a lovely week.
