Lazy Sunday but the sun isn't shining!!! Summer's coming!

Well, I HOPE summer's coming anyway!! This morning has dawned dull and grey and there's a 50% chance of ...... RAIN!! Hmmm - summer? I DON'T THINK SO
Sunday morning and all is well in my World, last night we were out to dinner with our lovely neighbours, Sally and Roger, we went Mexican! We stopped by a regular haunt of ours which had recently changed ownership. It used to be called Garibaldi's and is now called Tapatio - the food was just as good though, my quesadilla rellena was lovely - we'll go again. After stuffing our faces it was back to ours for another round and a lot more chat.
And now, on to the craft, more playing with the spectrum noir markers and my new frame stamp from the dollar range at Joann's recently - a veritable bargain.

Materials used:
  • White, scallop edged, 300 gsm C6 card and matching sized envelope
  • Kraft, Black and white card for matting
  • Recollections fish image and Happy Birthday stamped on to white card using a Memento tuxedo black ink pad, the balloon separated from the fish image and the Happy Birthday cut in to a flag like shape and matted on to an offcut of yellow paper
  • Studio 112 frame shape stamped on to white card using Versafine onyx black ink and cut out, including the middle
  • Alcohol markers used to colour the frame, fish and balloon
  • Frame placed over the fish and then the balloon adhered on top
  • Orange polka dot ribbon to embellish
  • Glossy accents over the balloon to give it a lovely shine
Aren't those Recollections fish just fabulous? I love 'em! The whole set is great and includes a rather special lion too.
There is also a new challenge over on the Pan Pastels blog. This week the challenge is "RED, WHITE and BLUE" (all three colours must be obviously present). The peeps over at Pan Pastels encourage  us to make projects other than cards so I went with an ATC. I should also point out that you don't have to use Pan Pastels to be able to enter ..... but you do get the chance to win some!!

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • White card cut to ATC size and coloured with Distress Inks: Weathered Wood, Fired Brick and Faded Jeans (red and blue)
  • Water flicked over background, allowed to develop and then blotted with paper towel
  • Inkadinkado drip image stamped using ColorBox bronze ink
  • Inkadinkado Splat image stamped using ColorBox white ink (white) several times.
  • Black ink run round the edge of the ATC
  • Stampers Anonymous telephone image and TPC Studio sentiment stamped (twice) using Versafine onyx black ink

And another ATC, just for fun ...

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Distressed Ink in weathered wood swiped across the ATC, to create sky
  • Hero Arts wordy skyline image stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • TPC Studio sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink

Hope you like today's makes - Enjoy your Sunday, folks

Lovely ATCs. Such vibrant colours on your fish card, I love how the ribbon mirrors the fish tails.

Particularly like the background with all the splats ib the ATC Kathy and your fishy card looks tropical with all the lovely colours. You have to tell a certain someone that NEED the rest of the set!
