Welcome to the weekend

Hi readers,
The weekend starts here, what are you all up to? No real plans at this stage but I'm quite sure that something will come up.
My first card of today is for a challenge over at the CASe this sketch blog and ALSO fits the CASology challenge where the one word inspiration is WORD ..... the buildings comprise of words!
Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 300 gsm, scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
  • Distress Ink in weathered wood, swiped across the card blank
  • Hero Arts cityscape image stamped on the Distress Ink panel using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Clearly Wordsworth sentiment stamped on to the base card using Versafine onyx black ink
And a view of the insert ....
And the sketch....
Next, a card, just for fun and to use some more new stash ......
Materials used:
  • White, scallop edged, 300 gsm C6 card and matching sized envelope
  • Scallop card panel (from new stash)
  • Black card for matting
  • Penny Black image stamped on to a white card panel using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Alcohol markers to colour and glitter to highlight
And the matching insert and envelope - the sentiment is by TPC Studio

And now for the Friday Funny, this week courtesy of my pal (and birthday girl) Liz - thanks matey - you can all blame her!!! ENJOY
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.
With a 5-kg potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can.
Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.
Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-kg potato sacks.
Then try 25-kg potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 50-kg potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute. (I'm at this level.)
After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each sack.
And finally, a view of the wildlife that drew me to the front door this morning - no idea what he was saying but it was loud, whatever it was!!!

Happy Friday - have a great weekend readers

Nice cards Kathy. I've always loved artwork with buildings and that is a nice stamp you
have used. Love the matching envelope and insert with the Penny Black one. Oh, and the potato sack exercise sounds just the sort of exercise for me!
Have a good weekend, Julia.

Great combination of the two challenges - I love the 'swipe' of sky against the skyline! I love that girl image, too - the look on her face is adorable! Thanks so much for playing along with us at CASology and CAS(E) This Sketch this week!
