Saturday and another challenge day for me

Morning readers

Here we are at another Saturday - and it's dawned pretty dank here, shame really as I have a fair bit of laundry and would really like to have been able to line dry it today! Ah well, you can't always get what you want (to quote the Rolling Stones) .........

In the meantime I'd like to share a bit of an experiment today .... wanted to have a go at the Rudolph Day challenge on CB2½ (registration required for entry) which is ... "A FLURRY OF...." but wanted to use something so very NON Christmas-y. It didn't start out as an ATC but that IS how it ended up - hope you like it. It would also work for the Stamping for Pleasure Rudolph Day challenge IF I hadn't already entered!!! Never mind, there's always next month!.

Materials used:
  • Red ATC blank
  • Offcut of black card, for matting
  • Offcut of white card
  • Kaisercraft "Graffiti" image stamped using Versamark ink and then pan pastel permanent red applied with a Sofft sponge before polishing with a piece of paper towel and setting with cheap hairspray
  • Craft Stamper free snowflake image stamped twice and Inkadinkado sentiment stamped once, using Versafine onyx black ink

And the non Christmas element? The image by Kaisercraft, it's called "Graffiti" and I think you will agree that it wouldn't be the first image you think of when you think of Christmas!!
By now, regular readers of this blog know that there are several challenges I like to have a crack at most Saturday's, one of these is over at Simply Less Is More. I DIDN'T enter last week though as the challenge was felt or fabric and (given the absence of my mojo and the fact that fabric and I are NOT friends) inspiration was a tad thin on the ground - I hope to remedy that this week though!!! Check out this week's challenge here or see the sketch below if you want to see what I have to work with!

Materials used:
  • 12.5cm square white, 300 gsm, scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
  • Off cut of purple card die cut in to fancy circle
  • Offcut of white card stamped with the IndigoBlu circles image using Memento rosebud ink
  • Rubber Stampede fashionista image stamped on to offcut of card using Versafine onyx black ink and cut out.
  • Stampers Anonymous sentiment stamped on to card offcut using Versafine onyx black, cut in to banner shape and edged with Memento rosebud ink

Have a fab Saturday
