Hi there and welcome to the start of another weekend

Hi there
Still enjoying the sunshine here .... hubby went off to Lakeland's Linder Airfield yesterday as there was a MONSTER PLANES R/C show. Me? I took the car and hit the shops .... Violette's, HobbyLobby, Michael's, Joann's, the mall for lunch - even managing a little Christmas shopping - WOO HOO

Lakeside Mall

Stash Haul!
Hubby had a good time too

This was NOT a model!! It was in the parking lot when I returned to collect hubby!!!

What a BEAUTIFUL day he had for his show?!
A pal of mine has been ill recently and I made her a get well card, which I couldn't share until I knew she had received it ... which she has, so ...

Showing the co-ordinating insert and envelope
Materials used:
  • 14.5 cm square, 300 gsm scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
  • 14 cm square brown patterned card from the DCWV "Rock Star" stack
  • 13.5 cm square Bristol board panel
  • Images from the Hero Arts Graffiti set, Penny Black "tweet tweet" set and Imagine That sentiment stamped using various inks: Memento rosebud, Lulu lavender, Brilliance purple and orchid, Studiog purple and Memento tuxedo black
And ..... how's my journal page looking? Check it out below

Materials used:
  • Dylusions and Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous (clear stamps) images stamped on white card using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Distress Inks: tea dye and black soot
  • Alcohol markers to colour
  • Stardust stickles to highlight
  • Faber Castell Pitt pen "F" thickness

Is it finished? Not sure ..... will just have to wait and see!

The new CAS challenge over at Simply Less Is More is to use String or Twine - I can do that!!!

Have a great Saturday - it's challenge day so I may be back later AND we're out to dinner with friends this evening - PERFECT!

LOVE the look of your AJ page Kathy. I haven't seen the Dylusions stamps in clear . . . only red rubber! Used that set when I was at Eileen's class! It's FAB!

The Get Well card is sure to cheer up your friend. It's lovely.

Hmm, didn't know about H/L at Lakeland. That could be worth a drive from Tampa, huh? The lovely dies must be from Violette's as I've not seen in the stores you mentioned. Actually didn't know H/L had stores in So. Fla. (some enabling, You!). Your pictures made me just a tiny bit homesick...while I love our trees & the fall leaves, I had 42 yrs of Palm trees, and they are gorgeous in the sunshine. TFS & glad you had a fun outing with some good craft shopping too. Hugs

Ooops forgot to say, I loved your Dylusions journal page! I love those sprays. So fun to experiment with them. Have you tried diluting them yet, or mixing in some White Linen into the diluted mixture? Fantastic effects & new colors too!
