Welcome to another weekend, the first in November

Hi there
Another Christmas card to share with you today along with some pix of yesterday's trip out and about ....
Materials used:
  • White C6 card and matching sized envelope
  • White card for matting, coloured using Distress Ink in fired brick
  • DCWV Christmas paper stack for matting
  • Kaisercraft alphabet image stamped using Distress Ink in fired brick
  • Penny Black image stamped on to white card using Memento tuxedo black and cut out
  • Alcohol markers and Distress Inks used to colour
  • Stardust stickles to highlight
  • Black card for matting
  • Fiskars sentiment stamped on to white card using Versafine onyx black ink before cutting out
  • Narrow burgundy/gold ribbon to highlight
And some more photos of our trip on Halloween. We set off around 09:30 and headed south on the 27 .... stopped at the IHOP for my first pancake in AGES ...
Then .... it was southbound once more, we were heading for Lake Okeechobee. Who'd'a thunk it that, once there, you'd have to look so blooming hard to find the lake!?!?!?
But we did find this buzzard with the kind of face only a mother could love!!!
The wildlife was easier to find!!

We moved on and headed east and then north ...... first stopping at:

Vero Beach

Vero Beach
And then, continuing north, we came across Port Canaveral where there's an area of restaurants at the dock - we had previously tried Fishlips (very nice it was too) so this time it was the turn of the Seafood Atlantic where hubby had the swordfish dinner and (after those pancakes) I had the mahi mahi fish sandwich basket - both yummy. Of course, being Halloween some of the staff were dressed accordingly and there were lights and ghoulish embellishments too!

Love those coffin shaped lights and the purple/green/orange lights, sadly, they don't really show up
so well as it wasn't dark when I took the photo. Whaddya reckon to the bat too?

And, across the parking lot, was this ..... reminded me of a hotel in Dubai!!

Over at Simply Less Is More their new challenge is a CAS card ..... a dark background with a splash of colour.

Materials used:
  • 12½cm square black card and matching sized envelope
  • Impression Obsession pine bough stamped using Versamark ink
  • Iridescent pink/blue perfect pearls brushed over
  • TPC Studio sentiment stamped using Color Box white ink

And to show you how hard it's raining - turn your sound ON

Have a great Saturday
