Another soggy Saturday?

Morning all,

Don't know about you but January's proving to be a bit of a washout .... no .... wait, we DID have a couple of hours of sunshine but that was days ago and it's been raining ever since. Impressed? Me either! Wouldn't it be nice if the sun shone and we all got the opportunity to put our wellies away for a while?!?!?

What to do on the soggy days when you have no reason to head out AND you find yourself short of trading cards for swaps, well .... I had the JOFY image already stamped and matted - as part of a recent anniversary card batch but I just never quite got round to making it in to a card so .... why not make it in to an ATC? Nope - I couldn't think of a reason either so .....

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Yellow card off cut - cut to ATC size
  • Kaisercraft "Distress" image stamped using Memento tangelo ink
  • Inkylicious "splatter" image stamped using Memento pear tart ink
  • Kaisercraft "laugh" repeating sentiment stamped using Memento rosebud ink
  • Hero Arts grassy border stamped around the edge using Memento rosebud ink
  • JOFY mage stamped on to white card using Memento tuxedo black ink and then cut out and matted on to black card
  • Alcohol markers to colour
  • Stardust stickles to highlight the heart
Actually, I really like the bright yellow background and decided to have another go using an off cut of green card - not sure that this worked anything like as well as the yellow though ..

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Off cut of green card cut to ATC size
  • Creative Expressions "alphabet" image stamped using Memento pear tart ink
  • Visible Image "splatter" and Kaisercraft "chequer" images stamped using Memento bamboo ink
  • Visible Image feather and Stampers Anonymous sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Hero Arts "grass" border stamped using Memento rosebud - no way it looks pink on the green though!!

It's nice, but not as nice as the yellow - or is it just that we've not seen sun for so long that anything yellow suddenly looks a whole lot more attractive? Hmm ..... anyway, there's another two ATC's for my collection! YAY

A quick update on my first eBay purchase ..... some of you may recall that I ordered a stamp set from eBay and the wrong stamp set arrived, with a note explaining the right set was not in stock so this was sent by way of an apology and that the right set would follow shortly. Coming back to you now? Well, this morning the postie brought the right set so I'm well happy with my first eBay purchase and the eBay seller www.makealastingimpression.co.uk - thanks, Liz.

Have a great Saturday, Saturdays are challenge days for me so I may yet be back with a second post or, if I'm quick off the mark, an amendment to this post!! Wish me luck, there are so many fab challenges under way right now that it's hard to choose to do just one!

Both great, Kathy. I like the green as much as the yellow.
Glad you got your stamps - nice to know of such a good supplier

Love the vibrant heart card as well as the more muted green one. It's so wet and sloshy here, my plants are drowning in the garden I'm sure.
Happy Sunday.
