Saturday again and what will the weather be like?

Morning readers,

Weather update .... yesterday was pretty nice! Not much rain and even a little sunshine - we could get used to this!!! I decided to take Velma out for a spin ...... BAD idea!! Almost as soon as I left the house the heavens opened, by the time I got home? SUNSHINE - what was THAT all about!!!???!??!??

Hope it's OK where you are today though.

Now you all KNOW (by this time) that Saturday is usually a challenge day for me and that there are a few challenges I like to enter every week, for a list of my faves check out the links in my side bar.

Over at Simply Less Is More their new challenge is a CAS card using "METAL", and at 52CCT their challenge is "to use metallic papers" - hmm - I sense a two for one opportunity here! Especially since I have been slightly delinquent in my eight per month Christmas card quota again this month - every little helps! Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge is to use a sentiment and this uses a sentiment so I've entered it there too, and with Addicted to Stamps and More have a "Holiday" theme and Christmas IS a holiday - I've now made this card a four-fer!!!

Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 300 gsm, scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
  • 14cm square silver holographic card. I used a strip of the leftovers to die cut a scalloped circle
  • Low tack tape to mask off a strip across my 13½cm square white card panel
  • I applied versamark ink to the masked off panel before applying pan pastels in pewter, bronze and bright gold with a sofft tool, burnished with paper towel and set with hairspray.
  • Stamplorations Christmas tree image stamped on to a die cut circle using Adirondack bottle and highlighted with stardust stickles
  • Hero Arts sentiment stamped on to the white card panel using Versafine onyx black - I tried the smokey grey (for a change) but it simply wasn't punchy enough with the metallic strip!
  • Metal star brad added to the right hand side of the pan pastel panel, to finish and (hopefully) balance the design

Got some doggy pix to share with you .... you will possibly have seen one of these fine pooches before but Mr Robbie now has a girlfriend! My pal rescued Molly from a puppy farm, she's about 6 and very timid right now but our pal has only had her in the family since last Sunday so it's very early days. She's very small and thin right now but will soon blossom with a little love and attention, check them out ...

Robbie, in 7th heaven having a back rub!

Molly, sitting quietly on "mummy's" lap!

Have a great Saturday everyone

Fabby Christmas card Kathy.

Tut tut, fancy slipping behind in your monthly quota already! Perhaps you'll come and play in Rudolph Day in 3 days time - then you'll need 2 more cards!

Cute dog photo's. Hope Molly settles in well.

Hugs, Sarn xxx
