Lazy Sunday?

Morning all,
Here's hoping for good weather today as hubby's got his club BBQ today!! I'm free to craft at home ALL DAY!! Yee Haa. I can be as busy (or lazy) as I choose!! Snorkers for lunch too - perfick!

Is it me? There was absolutely NOTHING on the TV all day yesterday .... we listened to the radio instead and, during the evening, watched stuff we recorded - wading our way through some episodes of SHETLAND - did anyone watch it whilst it was on recently? It's a little slow but kind of compulsive, good story lines though. It's only a series of six but we got half way through last evening! And I managed to craft too .....
Here's the craft item I'd like to share with you it's a card made for the new monthly challenge over on Craftbubble 2½ (registration required) , the group Craft Mad and Loving It has monthly challenges and Suzi set this one yesterday, to use Yellow or gold and then either wool or twine. Well, I'm never one to do things by halves so I decided to use both yellow AND gold - call me a rebel! (yeah, right! Rebel without a clue, maybe!)
Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 300 gsm, scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
  • Stamplorations "Holiday Artsy" border stamped numerous times in Memento dandelion and then again, slightly offset, in Color Box gold inks.
  • Stamplorations sentiment (from the same set) repeat stamped across the design using Versafine onyx black ink, leaving a space at the right hand end ... for the twine
  • Twine wrapped around the card and tied in a knot level with the gold/yellow border
Suppose this could work as a Congratulations, birth, anniversary OR birthday card - how very versatile - could even be a masculine card with the twine and the gold overlaying the yellow. Might have to use that design again with and/or without the twine!

Have a fab Sunday - hope you have decent weather after the storms of yesterday which battered so much of the country.

Great card in it's simplicity, considering the 'rules'!
