Lazy Sunday morning

Morning readers,

How are you all this Sunday morning? We got woken rather unceremoniously this morning ... a power spike followed by the chorus of burglar alarms going off - it was 07:00 and I bet I'm not the only person who hadn't really planned on being up QUITE that early!
Over at Addicted to CAS there's a new challenge and they offer us a one word inspiration - this time it's ...
And what could be more luxurious than an elegant lady in a posh frock with a bit of bling?!?!

My luxurious card

And my co-ordinating inside and envelope

Materials used:
  • C6 Kraft card blank (300gsm) and matching sized envelope
  • White card for the image panel
  • Purple mirri card (how luxurious is PURPLE mirri card too?), for matting
  • Acide Drops and Whatnots images stamped using Memento tuxedo black and sentiment stamped using imperial purple inks
  • Alcohol markers to colour image
  • Glitter "droplet" to embellish bracelet - sadly, it doesn't really show on the card - you can just about make it out on the photo below - is it a really "diamond" bracelet????

This set was purchased at the Newbury Artstamps show and this was their inaugural outing ... so I couldn't just leave it at one project now, could I? ATC's are always such a great way to use up snippets, aren't they?

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippet of white card cut to ATC size (because the ATC blank is far too flimsy on its own!)
  • Acid Drops and Whatnots image stamped on to my white card using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Alcohol markers to colour image
  • Once coloured I stamped the image again on to a posts it, cut it out and used it as a mask
  • Distress Inks in tumbled glass and stormy sky applied to the ATC background using a Color Box stylus and foam blending head.
  • Water was then spritzed on to my fingers and flicked on to the ATC, allowed to develop and then blotted with paper towel
  • Paper Artsy grungy lines stamped (with mask still in place) using the tumbled glass ink
  • Paper Artsy "splatter" image stamped using Versacolour silver ink
  • Acid Drops and Whatnots sentiment stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink

This shows the lines a little better
 AD49 Really?

I shall be entering this ATC for Di's "Snippets Challenge" over at Pixies Crafty Workshop and, on the right ... the stamp set used - cool huh?

Have a fantabulous Sunday

Truly fabulous Dahlink ! Love, love, love the card, she's such a glamorous image - I was sooo tempted with this set of stamps when we went to Newbury, not sure I'm glad I resisted it now LOL.

Loving the ATC too with the fabulous pop of red.

Sorry to hear you were so rudely awaken this morning, we were up bright an early, just not quite that early ! Plan to hit the road around 11am this morning.

Have a great day
