Saturday challenge day

Hey there
How's your weekend?
Last evening saw me heading to dinner with a couple of pals. Not long ago we dined at the third pal's and then it was my turn .... last night it was the last of the three of us. We've known each other almost forever and it never seems to matter how long it's been since we saw one another - we just pick up where we left off. FAB isn't it? I hope you all have great friends like that too. Dinner was yummy too with lots of nibbly bits to start, a gorgeous lamb and apricot tagine with couscous and then tiramisu and fresh strawberries, all washed down with a couple of glasses of Prosecco - YUM! Can't wait to do it all again!
Anyway, Saturday is normally my challenge day and, hungover or not, today is no different!!! FYI it's NOT ..... to the hangover issue!!
Over at Simply Less Is More their new challenge is :- "Mostly Words"

My card

And a close up of that twinkle - super Christmas-y!
Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 250gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • 13½cm square white card panel (x 2 including insert)
  • 14cm square bright blue card panel (x 2 including insert)
  • Fiskars sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Craft Stamper free snowflake image (by Chocolate Baroque) stamped using Memento Bahama blue ink ... stamped off once in each case (if you compare it to the non stamped off version inside then I THINK you will agree it was the way to go...)
  • Crafters Companion Spray and Sparkle - iridescent - to add some real Christmas-y twinkle!
And a peek at the inside and the envelope too ...

Another to add to my ever growing collection - someone said (only yesterday) that they thought I must be about ready to start on my 2015 quota - how close they were too!!! Being challenge day I'm likely to head off and make another card but will TRY to make it something other than a Christmas card - wonder how that will work out!!!

I'll also be entering the above card for the "Clean And Simple" challenge over at A gem of a challenge

Happy Saturday - have a good one

Fabulous wordy card kathy, perfick for this LIM challenge theme. Yes, I would agree that your first instinct to go with second generation stamping was just right.

Love that gorgeous blue snowflake against the black sentiment. I thought you must be into your 2015 stick by now ha ha !

Hope you are feeling less 'jaded' after breakfast and coffee by now, at least your evening enjoyment hasn't impacted your crafting skills.

Enjoy your day
