Tuesday morning

Morning readers,

Hubby was out last evening so I set about some crafting, hence a Tuesday post from me when I don't usually! (post on a Tuesday, that is!)

I suppose it's only fair - after all, I WAS out for the afternoon with a friend, we ended up having coffee at a local restaurant, very nice, and a nice chatty afternoon too - with a little retail therapy thrown in (hers not mine!).
On a crafting front there's a Christmas challenge to "USE A GIFT" over at Merry Monday and a new sketch challenge launched ... over at the Happy Little Stampers blog - it will be a monthly challenge and my, what a fabulous challenge it is too. This site is affiliated with the crafting forum also called Happy Little Stampers which you can see and/or join here, hope to see you at one or the other very soon!

Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 250gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • 13½cm square white card for image panel (x2 including the insert)
  • Red card for matting, cut at a 1/16" border using perfect layering ruler and a craft knife
  • Penny Black Tree image stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Penny Black parcel stamped three times using Memento, tangelo, rosebud and Bahama blue inks
  • Penny Black sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stardust stickles used to highlight the tree and presents and make the project super twinkly

The Penny Black images were all from the same fab set of clear stamps - "Let it Snow".

Want to see the inspiration for the above card? Well, here's the sketch used:

And here's a view of the inside and the envelope - all stamped to co-ordinate

And on to some tags using the fab new clear stamp which arrived on Monday morning, taped to my latest issue of Craft Stamper:-

Materials used
  • Snippets of white card and red card, die cut in to plain and scalloped circles
  • Craft Stamper Free stamp stamped on to the white card using Versamark ink, red tinsel embossing powder sprinkled liberally and then heat embossed
  • All Night Media sentiment stamped on to the red card using Adirondack snowcap ink
  • Crop-a-dile used to punch holes and set eyelets

A Little Bit Crafty have launched a new challenge entitled "DISTRESS IT" - might have a go at this challenge later.

It's the birthday of our friend Graeme today so, happy Birthday matey - see you soon

Have a great Tuesday

Morning Kathy, I think your card admirably fits the challenge! The little round stamp puzzled me for a bit, until I decided the shape was a robin with a pointed hat on! LOL

Oh WOW mrs K. What fabberooney makes you are sharing today.

I love the card with the twinkly tree and those pretty presents under it. The twinkly robin image gift tags are gorgeous, haven't had chance to ink up my CS freebie, yet, in fact it's still attached to the front of the mag ! Can't wait to us it, I love it, one of the best freebie stamps in a while.

You are doing well entering all these challenges, I find it hard to keep up with you LOL !

Luv
