Saturday challenge day

Hi there,
Well it was a super dull day yesterday and rained pretty much all of it .... and cold too - two quilts on the bed!! Blimey, feeling chilled! I slept like the proverbial LOG though, thank heavens! Woken refreshed and ready to CRAFT!!! Of course, at some point, there WILL be grocery shopping but hey ... it's a necessary evil!
Still, challenge day today and, over at Simply Less Is More it's the turn of the dreaded One Layer Challenge .... this week with the theme of: "Starry, Starry night"

I'm hoping this will show the sparkly finish to the card

Materials used:
  • C6 white, 300gsm, scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
  • Tim Holtz mini blending tool and foam pad (with just a "smidge" of D.I. in seedless preseves left on it!) used to apply Hero Arts neon blue inky "sky"
  • The darkest blue from the Kaleidacolour "denim" pad, applied through a "shooting star" Heidi Swapp stencil
  • Inkyliscious Santa and sleigh stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Inkyliscious mini stars image stamped using Versacolour silver ink
  • Hero Arts sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • I then sprayed the entire card front with Crafters Companion Spray and Shine in silver to both add twinkle and seal my project
In addition to the Less Is More challenge I will be entering the above card for the following:
  1. Creative Corner Challenges - "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas"
  2. Sister Act - "Anything Goes"
  3. Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge - "Keep it flat"! ... also eligible for CHCCextra!
  4. Inkspirational - "Shine"

Happy Saturday - hope it's brighter and/or warmer where you are today

Morning matey. Glad to hear you got a good night's sleep and are up and at em this morning. Fab card. I almost looked out of the window to see if the man in the red suit was, indeed, on his way :oD

Looking forward to see what your crafty mojo brings for your other fave challenges now.

Hi Kathy!

Oh girl - this fabulous card screams LIM winner to me! Absolutely perfect!

Cold and very wet down here in darkest Hampshire, sigh. You forgot to bring some sun back with you :(

Beautiful one-layer card Kathy. Love the soft sponging of your colours and the deep blue stars ... so pretty together. I can see all the sparkle and shine from the sprays --- so pretty! This would be great for the latest challenge at Inkspirational - shine. Loll xx

That Santa sleigh stamp is lovely. A single layer card is perfect for Xmas due to the amount to be crafted right?
It's not raining here but it's cold and finally starting to feel like winter is on its way -brrr.
Wrap up warm!
