Hello and welcome to challenge Saturday

Morning readers,

Woken to a thick frost this morning - thank heavens it wasn't this parky yesterday ... see below.
Yesterday hubby and I were up and out in good time, we'd train tickets booked to Bath for the Christmas market! Now, I've finished my Christmas shopping and my presents are wrapped too so there wasn't much left - the market was packed with fab present ideas, I'm really thinking I should go earlier next time and stock up! It was cold and a little windy but at least the rain/sleet etc kept off, we had a good mooch about, a sausage sandwich for lunch and then came home by train too - Yee Haa. It cost us less than it would have cost to take (and PARK) the car so was perfect except that, one of the items I was looking at was a heavy piece of slate!!! Needless to say, the prospect of walking home from the station (up THAT hill) kept me from buying it! Aside from that, nothing but positives! AND we started to feel pretty festive too - re-SULT!
And over at Simply Less Is More the challenge this week, aside from being the dreaded One Layer Card challenge is:- SNOW ... a bit too close to home for many of us this weekend!!!
My card with its FAMILY of SNOWpeople!!

And my co-ordinating inside and envelope
Materials used:
  • White C6, 300gsm, scallop edged card blank and matching sized envelope
  • Personal Impressions snowFAMILY stamped using Ranger Archival cobalt ink
  • Distress Inks (used water colour styleeee): squeezed lemonade, wild honey, ripe persimmon, festive berries, salty ocean, peacock feathers, tea dye, black soot, old paper
  • Kaisercraft sentiment (I used a See D sentiment inside the card) stamped using Ranger Archival cobalt blue ink
  • Crafters Companion Spray and Sparkle (silver) to seal, protect and add TWINKLE
  • Stickles (icicle) added across the snow line
I'll also be entering this for the "Whatever is urgently needed for Christmas" challenge over at Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge, the "Anything Christmas" challenge over at Pink Gem and for the "FAMILY" challenge over at Addicted to CAS
Talking of family, I'll be spending time with mine today ..... Happy Saturday

We had snow yesterday, you wouldn't have liked the shopping then. I still have cards to write, and one present to make, but that will be just one evening or two, so not a lot left now. Love the card, I really will have to decorate envelopes etc. more.
