A Thursday post from me

Morning all
Greetings from somewhere with lots of sunshine!! I'm pleased to say that the rain at the start of the week appears to have given up and been replaced with sunshine - Woo Hoo!
In fact, at one point it was so hot here that I simply had to stay in and craft!!! Does that sound like a feeble excuse to you too?!?!?! Anyhoo, here's what I made:-
My card
And a close up of my "white card" image panel

The co-ordinating inside and envelope
Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 300gsm, scallop edged card blank and matching sized envelope
  • Snippet of white card for image panel
  • Snippet of black card, for matting
  • I applied Memento lulu lavender ink to the white card DTP method - to take off the "white"ness!
  • Tim Holtz checker design stamped using Brilliance pearlescent orchid ink
  • Kaisercraft woodgrain image stamped using Memento lilac posies ink
  • Tim Holts circles image stamped using Color Box lavender ink
  • Tim Holtz star stamped using Memento rosebud ink
  • Inkadinkado bird image and Jillibean sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stardust stickles to highlight
I'll be entering this for the following challenges:
  1. CASology - week No. 144 "Flight"
  2. Sugar and Bettys - "Anything Goes/Layers" - there are five layers of ink as well as two layers of card so I HOPE that will count!
  3. Through the Craft Room Door - "Anything Goes"
  4. Simon Says Stamp - "Anything CAS Goes"
  5. Crafting by Design - "Anything Goes"
And I just so happened to find myself in (the AIR CONDITIONED) Michaels with a 40% coupon in my purse ...
Perhaps THESE will encourage me to make some Christmas cards!

Too hot!? What's a girl to do eh? How resourceful of you to seek shelter at a nearby craft desk. Love your beautiful card (and, that lovely new set of stamps. Well worth breaking out your voucher for :oD). Have a good one. Lx

Hi Kathy, Beautiful cas card and love the bird stamp. Also you never have to have an excuse to do a bit of crafting as it's relaxing which is good for the stress levels so I think any doctor would prescribe that!! lol
Thankyou for joining us at Sugar & Bettys this month. Good Luck and hope to see you again.
Hugs Amanda

Love that bird image, but of course, I am biased, ;-), and a little jealous that you got to spend some serious time in a craft store today! Lovely card and coordinating envelope! Thanks so much for joining us at CASology this week!
