Welcome to another weekend

Morning all
Yesterday was dull and showery ....... seemed like a good day to stay in and craft and I even had new stash as a prize had arrived in the post but ..... I managed another foray at HobbyLobby and then came home via a steakhouse dinner so (when I found nothing on the TV to watch) I set to work ....

Materials used:
  • Page from a Strathmore mixed media journal
  • Acrylic paints: Anita's Glow green/pink/orange and Craft essentials neon yellow - applied using a brayer
  • Dylusions alphabet stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Recollections numbers stamped using Versafine vintage sepia ink
  • Tim Holtz background images stamped using Distress Inks in scattered straw, pumice stone and worn lipstick
  • Jillibean sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Hampton Art numbers stamped using Brilliance pearlescent orchid ink
  • Inkadinkado foliage (from the meadow set) stamped using Memento sweet plum ink

I love to christen new stash so you will note that I have already broken the seal on the Dylusions alphabet stamp set AND the neon paints - YAY!.

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:-
  1. Addicted to Stamps and More - challenge No. 141 "Anything Goes"
  2. Create and Inspire - challenge No. 20 - "Anything Goes"
  3. Through the Craft Room Door - "Anything Goes"

And my new stash from HobbyLobby?

I was recently in London meeting friends and spotted a couple of the Aardman creations .. Shawn the Sheep....

A while back I was lucky enough to win a prize through Hazel's blog ..... through no fault of hers my prize took quite a while to achieve and ended up as a gift voucher from a supplier of my choice (in the U.S.) but it arrived yesterday - THANK YOU HAZEL ...... and here it is:-

Thanks for the cool card that came with it, Shery

And now for the Friday Funny, brought to you this week courtesy of Marsha .... ENJOY.

And old geezer, who had been a retired farmer for a long time, became very bored and decided to open a medical clinic. He put a sign up outside that said: "Get your treatment for $500, if not cured get back $1,000."

Doctor "Young," who was positive that this old geezer didn't know beans about medicine, thought this would be a great opportunity to get $1,000.So he went to Dr. Geezer's clinic.

This is what transpired.

Dr. Young: --- "Dr. Geezer, I have lost all taste in my mouth." Can you please help me?

Dr. Geezer:  --- "Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in Dr. Young's mouth."

Dr. Young: --- Aaagh! -- "This is Gasoline!"

Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You've got your taste back. That will be $500."

Dr. Young gets annoyed and goes back after a couple of days figuring to recover his money.

Dr Young: "I have lost my memory, I cannot remember anything."

Dr. Geezer: "Nurse, please bring medicine from box 22 and put 3 drops in the patient's mouth."

Doctor Young:  "Oh no you don't, -- that is gasoline!"

Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You've got your memory back. That will be $500."

Dr. Young (after having lost $1000) leaves angrily and comes back after several more days.

Dr. Young: "My eyesight has become weak --- I can hardly see!

Dr. Geezer: "Well, I don't have any medicine for that so -- "Here's your $1000 back."

Dr. Young: "But this is only $500"

Dr. Geezer: "Congratulations! You got your vision back! That will be $500."

Moral of story  --  Just because you're "Young" doesn't mean that you can outsmart an old "Geezer "!
Have a great weekend
