Another lazy Sunday here - how about you?

Morning all,

Funny old day yesterday, now it's our habit to dine with friends on as many Saturdays as we can manage but sometimes our plans simply don't work out. This was one of them and we had to reschedule yesterday's planned meet owing to our pals having visitors from Mass. Here's hoping they had a lovely weekend, as for us, it was the slightly decadent bacon butty for lunch followed by a visit to Smokey Bones - we had a coupon! In fact, we had TWO!!! We came home with dessert to go!

The weather this weekend (so far) has been lovely and hubby was up on the roof cleaning out the dryer vent whilst I was in the pool scrubbing the tiles!! It was hot so I definitely think I got the better side of that particular deal!
I've a snippet card to share with you this morning ...
My card
Close up of "The Girls"

And my co-ordinating insert and envelope
Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 300gsm, scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
  • Snippets of card:- white, grey, embossed pink and navy
  • 14cm square panel of white card for insert
  • Art Impressions party girls image stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Art Impressions sentiments stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink, the "At our age" sentiment on to white card snippet which I coloured with geranium pink peerless water colour
  • TPC Studio (Happy Birthday sentiment) stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Peerless Water Colours used to water colour "The Girls" ..... flesh tint, geranium pink, mahogany brown, sepia, grey pearl, japonica scarlet, yellow
  • Pink glittered self adhesive "droplets" added to banner sentiment
I plan to enter this card for the following challenges:-
  1. Pixie's Crafty Workshop - SNIPPETS CHALLENGE
  2. Art Impressions - Challenge No. 159 - LOVELY LADIES
  3. Collage Obsession - SHADES OF PINK - there are at least four shades of pink!
A recent trip to The Villages and a tour of She Scrapbooks elicited a larger sized (but fewer colours) set of Peerless water colours so now I'm all set!

Oh what a fun card Kathy! I do so love the image and sentiment!

I did grin about you in the pool scrubbing the tiles - at first I envisaged you in a drained pool but my guess is that you were happily bobbing around in the water,

Hi Kathy, Lovely to see you got a visit to The Villages. Our DD's FIL lived there for a long time. It's such a lovely community, everything you'd ever need! Loved your cute AI card. The 3 ladies put me in mind of 3 ladies who got together last Tuesday (Darnell & Bonnie K & me). We did a toast just like these cuties did. Fun card. Hope you're enjoying the lovely weather & there's some great restaurants around this area too. Hugs & TFS.
