Saturday and it's another challenge day from me ....

Hello dear readers, how's your weekend coming along?

Yesterday saw me heading out with pal and neighbour, Sally, for a spot of light retail therapy with lunch and nattering thrown in - for good measure! It was one of our more successful trips as Sally got both items on her list and I got a pair of flip flops in the sale!! My old ones had no tread left and were destined for the bin - always good to have a pair waiting in the wings though, especially as we approach SUMMER!!!!

Recently, I made a masterboard (using Bleeding Art Tissue in pink & blue) and made a couple of Christmas cards with it. Had a bit left so thought I would make another as the challenge was still open - finishes on Monday so, who knows? I MAY even get another done by then! Here's the one I made .... my Christmas card quota has increased some this past couple of weeks too - YAY!

My card

And a closer view of the detail

And my co-ordinating insert and envelope

  • Snippet of masterboard card (made using Bleeding Art Tissue in pink and blue)
  • Navy card for matting
  • Stampers Anonymous snowflake stamped numerous times using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Stardust stickles to highlight
  • Stamplorations sentiment stamped on to a snippet of white card using Ranger Archival watering can ink and Versafine Mediterranean blue ink before cutting the end in to a banner shape
  • Distress Ink in salty ocean applied using a sponge dabber and then again applied through a TCW stencil
  • Distress Ink in faded jeans and black soot applied around the edge using the sponge dabber

Not one but two Christmas cards and it's really only the start of summer this weekend!!!! We have gorgeous weather and temperatures seem set to hit the mid 90's°F today which, sadly, is a little TOO hot for me to sally forth and do much outdoors still, mustn't be churlish - don't get THOSE kind of opportunities too often!

Around 07:30 this morning the hubs and I were startled by the noise of gas burners directly over the house ... so I grabbed my camera and headed for the door (thank  heavens I was decent!!!)

Have a great Saturday
