Welcome to Mother's Day!

Morning all and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to those who celebrate it - I hope your families are spoiling you something rotten!
I have a snippet make to share with you today ....
My card

And my co-ordinating insert and envelope
Materials used:
  • White A6/A2(U.S.), 300gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • Snippet of white card recently treated to the shaving foam/paint technique
  • Black card snippet for matting
  • Jillibeans sentiment stamped on to base card using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stamplorations feather image stamped on to my painted panel using Versafine onyx black ink
  • Stamplorations feather image stamped down the left and right side of the card front using Memento lulu lavender ink
  • Stardust stickles used to define the feather image
I'll be entering this for the following challenge:-
  1. Pixie's Crafty Workshop - Snippets challenge
  2. CraftyCatz - Challenge No. 278 - CAS (Clean And Simple)
And, I had some of the Bleeding Art Tissue torn shapes left over from yesterday so reached for my small Retro flower punch and got cracking!

Using blue/green/gold and yellow tissue

Using purple/pink/yellow/blue/red/green tissue

Materials used:
  • ATC blank (x 2)
  • Snippet of black card
  • 6" x 4" glossy card stock
  • Bleeding Art Tissue shapes cut from blue/ yellow/ gold/ green/ pink/ red/ purple (jewel colours) with my EK Success retro flower punch
  • Water applied using a brush to attach the tissue to my glossy card stock
  • After leaving to develop (between 1 and 3 minutes) I removed the flower shapes using a pair of tweezers
  • Once dry I stamped the Fiskars sentiment using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Jewel colour and glittered self adhesive "droplets" applied using a pokey tool

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:
  1. Left of Centre - Challenge No. 77 - BLING
  2. Fussy and Fancy Fridays - Challenge No. 138 - LOTS OF FLOWERS - 2nd entry
  3. Dragons Lair - BOUQUET OF FLOWERS
  4. Try It On Tuesday - RETRO

If you are interested in the technique then check out my last couple of posts and also the blog of a crafting pal of mine, Karen, as she's been playing with B.A.T. this week too. It's always great to see how two people can approach the same technique in such different ways.

Happy Sunday, today is the birthday of friend's Len and Matthew - Happy Birthday guys!
