Welcome to Saturday - another challenge day ......

Hey there readers, how's your weekend coming along? Well I  hope .. and the weather? Well, it's nice here and so I hope you all have some sunshine too!
In between reading an "alleged" romantic comedy I found myself making a card ... the book? Seriously unfunny so far!!! I HATE to give up on a book but it's so not "as described"! Anyway, the card? Check it out ......
My card - what a cute little doggy!
And a closer view!

My co-ordinating insert and envelope
Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 300gsm, scallop edged card blank and matching sized envelope
  • 14 cm square white card panel, for insert
  • Snippets of card in white (for image), grey and deep blue (for matting)
  • Stampers Anonymous "runway" image stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Distress Inks, used as water colours:- antique linen, spiced marmalade, barn door, weathered wood, faded jeans, salty ocean
  • Stamplorations background images stamped using the weathered wood and salty ocean D.I.'s
  • TPC studio sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Blue organza ribbon
  • Adhesive faux crystal to embellish and bling up the exclamation mark!
When I first finished this I felt the loose painting style and the blue "spots" were a mistake but, honestly, the whole thing has grown on me and now I really like it. Whether that makes it a great card or not - well, that's down to ones individual perceptions but I hope you all agree!

I'll be entering this card for the following challenges:
  1. Addicted to Stamps and More - Challenge No. 144 - CAS (Clean And Simple)
  2. Mod Squad Challenge - TO USE STAMPS FROM AT LEAST TWO SETS (Check - TPC Studio, Stamplorations "grunge background" and Stampers Anonymous "runway")
  3. Crafters Café - Challenge No. 116 - FEMININE

And a technicolour ATC for you ...

And a close up
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • White card snippet cut to ATC size
  • Peerless Watercolours: Brilliant Yellow (applied to entire ATC) and Geranium Pink (flicked over ATC using a brush)
  • Inkadinkado Morphic Bird image stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Precious Remembrance Shop sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Precious Remembrance Shop tiny circle stamped using Memento rosebud ink
  • Stardust stickles used to highlight

I'm going to enter this ATC for the following challenges:-
  1. Polkadoodles - Challenge No. 20 - THINGS WITH WINGS
  2. DRS Designs - Challenge No. 174 - BIRDS AND BEES

And here's an entry for one of my fave "regular" challenges ..

My water coloured card

And a close up of the loose style of colouring

And my co-ordinating insert and envelope

Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 250gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • 14cm and 13½cm square white card panels (for image and insert)
  • 14cm square light blue card panel for matting
  • Stacy Stamps boat  and gulls images stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
  • Stampers Anonymous sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Peerless Water Colours: brilliant yellow, sky blue, deep blue, grey pearl and japonica scarlet used to colour

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:
  1. Simply Less Is More - Challenge No. 224 - themed as HELLO SUNSHINE
  2. Sister Act - Challenge No. 106 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Creative Fingers - Challenge No. 80 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. As You Like It - FAVOURITE LAND OR SEA (and why) who doesn't love a boat in the sunshine?!?!

FYI - gave up on the unfunny book and started one by L.T. Ryan - GRIPPING! Way more enjoyable, if I'm honest - couldn't put it down, gone on-line and bought another.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend. It's my pal Dawn's birthday today and also the birthday of my nephew, Alex - Have a great day both. I know we have a fun day planned, we're meeting friends later

Wow ! what a delight for the eyes your post today is PP, fabulous makes.

I love the DI watercolour effects on the first one - I'm sooo glad I ordered that Runway stamp set !

Certainly a zingy ATC, awesome yellow, bright sunny and happy colour.

Oh My ! I adore the sailing boat card, you have certainly become a dab hand with the peerless watercolours PP. that is a fabulous stamp, I think I have to have it ! There you go again... please step away from the wand, it's far too dangerous in your hands Ha Ha !

Another busy saturday Kathy, love your watercoloured card for LiM.
Isn`t it disappointing when a book doesn`t live up to expectations? Pleased you found a better one.
