Today is officially Rudolph Day and there are a number of challenges launched today, to encourage us all to add to our quota of makes and ensure we hit the festive season with enough (or ALMOST enough) cards in our stash. So, this set me to thinking and .....
Some crafting to share with you ...
My card |
And its co-ordinating insert and envelope |
Materials used:
- 15cm square white, 300gsm, scallop edged card blank and matching sized envelope
- Snippet of white card for the image panel
- Snippets of grey/green card, metallic green card and distressed green card for matting and layering
- Inkadinkado image and Hero Arts sentiment frame stamped using Ranger Archival watering can ink
- Hero Arts sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
- Distress Inks used to water colour the image and sentiment banner:- cracked pistachio, forest moss, scattered straw, festive berries and fired brick
- Luminarte shimmer spray applied to the image panel
- Stardust stickles to highlight
I'll be entering this card for the following challenges:
- Crazy4challenges - C4C287 - GREEN
- ScrappyMo - RUDOLPH DAY
And now I've an ATC to share with you, it's NOT Christmas-y, AT ALL!. You know how sometimes it's really hard to think of something and sometimes it just FLOWS? This was one that just flowed and, frankly, I LOVE IT! - hope you will too.
My ATC |
And a close up to show further detail |
Materials used:
- ATC blank
- Snippet of white card, cut to ATC size
- Distress Inks in pumice stone and weathered wood applied using a Tim Holtz blender
- Using the weathered wood ink I stamped the checker and circles images (by Stampers Anonymous)
- I then stamped the Stampers Anonymous numbers image (twice) using Ranger Archival watering can ink and the flourish (from the same set) using Distress Ink in tea dye and then the sentiment using Ranger Archival jet black ink.
- Star image (again, by Stampers Anonymous) stamped multiple times - but stamped off on scrap paper, to further distress the image
- I also swiped the weathered wood D.I. around the outer edges of the ATC
And I liked it so much that I thought it would "ROCK" as a card!
