Welcome to challenge Saturday at the Purplicious Princess Diaries!

Morning readers,

We've reached the weekend again and I can scarcely believe it but we've decided to decorate the lounge!! Been talking about this for quite some while .... been talking about a new bed too (ours has this rather cosy feature where we roll towards the middle!!!) as ours is old and tired, rather like us!!! So, yesterday, instead of playing with the three fab new mini stencils that arrived in the post I found myself clearing out drawers and dusting off ornaments to see which ones we wouldn't be putting back. I know I shall never be as minimalist as a certain pal of ours but .... we're gonna give it our best shot!

Got a house guest moving in for a week soon so we'd really like it all done by then! Hmmmmm - we shall see!

Anyway, Saturday being challenge day for me, you would KNOW there's some crafting to share and (after a three day crafting drought) it felt good to head behind the couch to the table of craftiness ....

My card

And a close up

And my co-ordinating insert and envelope

  • Paper Artsy splatter image stamped using Memento pear tart ink
  • Visible Image INKognito flower head stamped (on image panel) using Versamark ink and elsewhere using Brilliance galaxy gold ink
  • Rubbadubbadoo Roman Gold embossing powder used to heat emboss the flower head

Spiffing green and gold creation missus, I'm feeling the pressure to acquire this VI stamp more and more after your fabby inspiration recently ! Well done on getting you entry for the challenges made so speedily.

Good luck on the decorating and new furniture front, all that and house guests too over the next couple of weeks ? Crazy people ha ha ! Will the decorating be done at the speed of light too ?

Our decorating started July 2014 STILL isn't finished :0( despite lots of hints, not sure it'll be done before October either oh dear !

Have a fun day clearing out and prepping

A great card Kathy. That gold embossing looks super. Good Luck with the challenges.

Good Luck with the decorating ... in a week! I used to love it and do all the decorating - painting, paper hanging and I even artexed a ceiling back in the 70s. Now I hate decorating even more than ironing. Barbxx
