Morning all and welcome to the start of another week

Morning all,

Hope you all remembered to change your clocks!! Hands up who didn't .... until they were reminded!!!

Yesterday I was joined by Wynneth for a little light crafting .. we both made Christmas cards, mine's below. We went out to dinner (Manny's) for the steak special and came home via Lowe's (for the boys) and Michaels for the girls. Both Wynneth and I bought the same stamp set at 40% off but Wynneth broke the seal on hers immediately on our return, with very disappointing results. Mine's going back next time I'm passing a Michaels!

Since it was Rudolph Day yesterday I simply HAD to make a Christmas card, didn't I?

My very CAS card

And a closer view - to show the twinkle

And the insert and envelope
Materials used:
  • White, A2 (US sized) card blank and matching sized envelope
  • Two 9½ x 13cm white card panels and one slightly larger, coloured using a red alcohol marker, which was also used to tint the edges of the insert panel
  • Inkadinkado image (from Holiday Silhouette) and Hero Arts sentiment (from the Banners and Messages set) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Stardust stickles to accentuate

It doesn't get much more CAS than this, does it! Anyway, I'll be entering this make for the following challenges:-
  1. Scraps of Life - October challenge - RUDOLPH DAY
  2. Hiding in my craft room - challenge No. 222 - ANY HOLIDAY ... Christmas!
  3. Cardz 4 Galz - challenge No. 4 - CAS
  4. C.R.A.F.T. - challenge No. 334 - BLACK, WHITE and (only) ONE OTHER COLOUR - I went with RED
  5. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 247 - SKETCH, see below

And then on to another Halloween style ATC

And a closer view of the sparkle
Materials used:

  • ATC blank
  • Snippet of white card, cut to ATC size, coloured using Distress Inks: scattered straw, wild honey, barn door.
  • Inkadinkado drip (from Bloody Scene) stamped using the D.I. barn door
  • Inkadinkado ink blot (from the above set) stamped using D.I. scattered straw
  • Distress Ink in spiced marmalade stencilled using a Tim Holtz blending tool and foam pad
  • Hampton Arts Halloween image (bat, cobweb and spider) stamped using Memento tuxedo black
  • Stardust stickles to highlight

At Sarah's suggestion I'm going to link this over at AAA Cards where their challenge (No. 51) is Anything HALLOWEEN goes

Looked out the door last night ... saw this ... grabbed my camera

Have a fab week

Morning mate

Loving your card and ATC. Shame about your stamp acquisition. What a pain it is when that happens!

What a spooky looking moon! Great photo. Have a great week and say hi to lovely Wynneth and Tom for me.

Oh my gosh, that moon photo is fabulous!

Your card looks great. I love the way you did the sentiment and also the envelope. I have far to many cards that do not have the inside finished...need to sit down and just attack them

Thanks for taking part in the October Rudolph Days Challenge.

Hi Kathy, Loving the CAS Santa card and the drizzly paint ATC. What a shame about your bargain stash! Thankfully that doesn't happen too often. Woa that's a spooky looking halloween night sky. Barbxx
