It's the weekend!!!

Hi readers,

We've hit Saturday again AND it's the last one in November too - the Christmas chaos starts Tuesday!!! I already  have a pickup scheduled to see a Christmas gift on its way!

It's certainly felt like winter too, this past few days ... I've been wearing long sleeves (which will surprise many who know me personally) AND have the fire lit on several days too - positively brrrrr! However, it's less than four weeks till the shortest day and we all know what that means!

I've had a good few days when my mojo's plainly had a long sleeved sweater on too, and has been snuggled up under a blanket rather than accompanying me to the table of craftiness so it was nice to head round there yesterday and make the card below, which I like .....

My card
And a close up of the image panel
And my insert and envelope
Materials used:
  • 15cm square white, 250gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • 2 x 13½cm square panels of white card
  • 2 x 14cm square panel of navy card
  • Kaisercraft numbers and distressed border images using Distress Ink in tumbled glass
  • Close to my Heart numbers stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Kaisercraft ? using my Distress Ink in hickory smoke
  • Kaisercraft bubble wrap image using Memento tangelo ink
  • Paper Artsy splatter image stamped using Distress Ink in blueprint sketch
  • Stamplorations sentiment builder stamped using both Ranger Archival jet black and cobalt blue inks
  • Ranger Distress glaze applied to de-activate the distress inks, to protect from water ingress in transit

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:
  1. 4 Crafty Chicks - challenge No. 274 - MASCULINE
  2. Crafting with attitude - challenge No. 9 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Aud Sentiments - challenge No. 145 - ANYTHING GOES + a sentiment
  4. Through The Craft Room Door - November 24th - 30th - ANYTHING GOES

And then on to another, slightly more GIRLY make ....

My card

And a closer view which (I HOPE) shows the twinkle of the wink of stella pens

And the insert and envelope
Materials used:

  • 15cm square white, 250gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 13½cm square + a snippet for my image panel
  • One piece of black card cut to 14.1cm + snippet for my image panel
  • Sparkle 'n Sprinkle "One martini, two martini" image stamped on to snippet using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Sparkle 'n Sprinkle "cocktail stick with fruit" stamped where the corners of my image panel would be adhered
  • Pro Markers (pumpkin, gold, pear, vanilla) used to colour and Wink of stella glitter brush pens (clear and gold) used to colour
  • On the insert and envelope Stamplorations sentiment builder stamped using Ranger Archival jet black and Memento tangelo inks

I'll be entering this fruity make for the following challenges:-

  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No. 252 - FRUIT
  2. Creative Corner - 27th November challenge - GLITZ and GLAMOUR - what could be more glamorous than cocktails .. with fruit!
  3. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 98 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Simply Papercrafts for all occasions - challenge No. 18 - ANYTHING GOES

What was I been doing whilst the mojo has been conspicuous in its absence? Well, I got my Christmas tree up (ready for a visit from a pal) and decorations up in my office .... not that it took long to site that, at all!!! A nice festive twinkle though and who can fail to be cheered by a bit of twinkle?!?!?

Have a fab weekend ......

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!
