Morning and welcome to the start of another weekend!

Morning all

Hope you all have something smashing to look forward to this weekend. I'm hoping to attend a Craft Fayre tomorrow, at Solivita ... went last year and enjoyed it so I'm hoping I can crack some of this Christmas shopping malarkey!, one less thing to worry about! How's yours coming along?

I can hardly stop myself from making Christmas cards. I've already exceeded the number I need for 2015 but just keep making them. At this rate I won't need to make any for 2016!!!

My card

And a closer view of the image

And the insert and envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C7 and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 9½ x 13cm, Rust coloured card by Paper Cut, slightly larger than the white card panel
  • Inkadinkado image from the Holiday evergreen set stamped on to white card snippet using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Sentiment from the Recollections set
  • Alcohol markers, marvy le plume II and gelly roll clear glitter pens, to colour

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:
  1. Creative Inspirations - challenge No. 334 - SPARKLE
  2. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 97 - ANYTHING GOES

And a masculine card from me too....

  • TCW mini mixed media stencil through which I sponged Distress Ink in hickory smoke
  • DRS Designs splatter image stamped using the Hickory smoke D.I.
  • Impression Obsession "HAPPY" and Stampers Anonymous "Birthday" stamped using Ranger Archival jet black and watering can inks

  5. Craft Stamper - November Make It Take challenge - USE A STAMP + ANYTHING GOES

I was pleased with the design of the above card and thought I might have a go using browns and sepia's ..... does it work quite as well? ... what do you think dear reader?

And then I started Christmas wrapping!! Well, with the advent of Loll's mixed media tag challenge it seemed like a good idea at the time ....

Materials used:
  • One sheet of 12" x 12" scrapbook paper with snowflakes
  • One ATC blank which I converted to a tag by snipping the corners and then punching a 3/8" hole and setting a co-ordinating eyelet.
  • Stampers Anonymous grungey snowflake stamped using Distress Inks in salty ocean and blueprint sketch
  • Recollections snowflake stamped with Versafine Imperial blue ink
  • Stardust stickles to highlight
  • Organza ribbon in navy to tie the parcel and tag together in to a bow and VOILA!!! Christmas all wrapped up! And inside? A selection of handmade cards.

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:
  1. Happy Little Stampers - November Christmas challenge - Christmas TAG

It's OK Lauren, it's NOT REAL!

Target acquired ... the Christmas store

And, she's OFF .........

Awwww

And the walk back to the car

Last night saw us at Logan's with friends Wynneth and Tom and their friends Patsy and John - we had a fab time - thanks peeps

And now for this week's Friday Funny which comes to you courtesy of LILIAN so you can all blame her for this calorie laden funny! Think I put on weight just reading it! ENJOY

WOW - so much to see in this post.

Looks like you've been enjoying yourself with Wynneth and co. The Disney place looks terrific.

ALL the cards you're showing are brilliant Kathy. Masculine ones are so difficult, but you totally nailed it.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Hi Kathy, Enjoyed all the lovely projects on this great post & am guessing you must be in Fla. if you're visiting Disney. Always fun to go there. I just love your mixed media wrapping project, but all of the cards are so pretty. I'm especially taken with the Joy design on #1. I quite liked the darker tone of your train design, but it would look equally smashing in a sepia or blue tone I think. Liked it in the bronze with the red texturing in the background. Great designing work, and TFS with us in the HLS November Tag Christmas Challenge! Enjoy your time in warm Fla. Hugs
