Welcome to the first Monday in November

Morning readers and followers,

Last night saw us out to dinner with friends who are neighbours and friends who normally live over 100 miles from us - it was a lovely evening, always good to get together with friends, isn't it?

Still on a Christmas card roll despite the fact I truly have reached my 2015 quota

My card

A close up of the image and border
And one that hopefully shows the bling a little better

And the insert and envelope

Materials used:
  • White A2/C7 card blank and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 9½ x 13cm and once piece 10 x 13½cm
  • I coloured the larger panel with a red alcohol marker and stamped a Stamplorations image (from the mixed media background) using Memento sweet plum
  • Inkadinkado "JOY" image (from their evergreen holiday set) stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Alcohol markers and Marvy le plume II pens used to colour
  • Gelly roll clear glitter pen used to highlight
  • For the insert I used a sentiment set from My Sentiments Exactly
  • Stardust stickles to embellish and add bling

CAS at its simplest, one stamp on the front and one to make the matting layer more interesting, that's all! I'll be entering this for the following challenges:-

  1. Great Impressions - November challenge - BLING ON THE HOLIDAYS - I hope glitter pens count
  2. Penny Black - November challenge - ANYTHING CHRISTMAS
  3. Sir Stampalot - November challenge - FESTIVE FLORALS - hope there's enough foliage on my bell otherwise, let me know and I'll remove my entry
  4. Allsorts - challenge No. 335 - CHRISTMAS
  5. Merry Monday - challenge No. 178 - RED and GOLD
This card became the template for a private challenge amongst a few friends to make four Christmas cards "the same but different" .... using the same basic layout and colours so ...

My finished four cards and envelopes

So, one with a red marker outline, one with a coloured panel but in the same place

One with a red card panel glued together and one with a red card panel on dimensional foam tape

Showing the dimensional foam panel and insert
The inserts are all coloured like the card front but I left the envelopes uncolured
