It's the start of the weekend so it must be time for the Friday Funny!

Morning all

What a funny old week it's been in our neighbourhood?!?! Neighbour called early in the week as her printer wasn't (printing that is!) and then on Wednesday my phone chucked its hand in .... it just went in to perpetual re-boot .. never a good thing! I.T. department (a.k.a. hubby) declared it to be terminal ..... so, new printer and new phone acquired. Currently waiting on a new SIM card and using a very elderly steam driven phone that we keep for just such emergencies!

Anybody else still using one of these?

Last night I was at my local Craft Club and it was BYO (that's Bring Your Own ... craft project - not WINE, before you ask!). As a card maker I always struggle to plan for these evenings as I so easily get distracted ... you plan to use stamp X and make a card but what turns up is a trading card using stamp Y!! So, how can I possibly plan for all eventualities at a 2 hour BYO session? Last night I decided that I wanted (in 2016) to use some of my extensive collection of glitters and foils which just never seem to get much an airing so ... I cut a few image panels for cards, and some ATC blanks and piled DST and a quickie glue pen in my bag .... and here's how my evening finished!

A few card fronts just in need of matting and mounting on to a card
+ an ATC and case
My two C6/A2 panels, made in to cards
And a closer view, to show the sparkle

And the inserts and envelopes, to match

Materials used:-
  • 200gsm white card panels 10 cm square and 9½ x 13cm
  • Kraft card cut to 15 x 10cm and folded  at 7 and 14cm and again at 9cm on the shorter edge
  • 1" diameter hole punch partially punched to give thumbnail access to ATC inside (on side only - yes, the side you CAN'T see!!!!)
  • Double sided tape
  • Jones Tones foiling sheets
  • Sparkle 'n Sprinkle glitter in: Carnation, Hanauma Bay and Bronze Splendour
  • Stamps by Stamploration and Imagine That
  • Inks by Ranger Archival in jet black and sienna
  • Black card, cut to 10 x 13½cm, for matting
  • Stamplorations "swipe" image stamped using Brilliance cosmic copper ink

I'll be entering one of the above makes for the following challenges:-
  1. Aud Sentiments - challenge No. 146 - THANK YOU
  2. Crafting with an attitude - challenge No. 11 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. The Male Room - challenge No. 26 - Theme: ANYTHING (Male) GOES - metallic card, think that's pretty masculine, don't you?
  4. Through the Craft Room Door - January 12th - 18th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  5. CASology - challenge No. 180 - OPEN .... this was "open" to interpretation and I've gone with an open design!

Saw this on facebook and had to copy and paste it for a Friday Funny so, once again, no entry in the prize draw

A blonde walks into a bank in New York City and asks for the Loan officer. She says she's going to Europe on business for two weeks and NEEDS to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for the loan, so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Mercedes Benz SL 500.
The car is parked on the street in front of the bank, she has the title and everything checks out. The bank agrees to accept the car collateral for the loan.
The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the blond for using a $110,000 Benz as collateral against a $5,000 loan.
An employee of the bank then proceeds to drive the Benz into the bank's underground garage and parks it there. Two weeks later, the blonde returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41.
The loan officer says, "Miss, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multimillionaire.
What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?"
The blonde replies, "Where else in New York City can I park my Car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?"
Finally... a smart blonde joke.

Have a great weekend

Shame about your phone . . . I hope you like your new one. We also keep an emergency older phone - just in case!

And the girl did good at the craft club meet.

Love the "smart blonde" joke too!
