Monday and the start of another week, peeps - let's make it a good one!

Morning peeps,

Hope you all had a great weekend .. we went out to dinner yesterday .. we went here

Well, here we areMonday AND  ...  it's also Rudolph Day again! Nothing for it but to make a Christmas card despite the bright sunshine outside!!!!

My card
And a close up to show texture and dimension
The front, back and inside of my card and my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card blank and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to fit card
  • One piece of metallic card to mat
  • Inkadinkado cardinal image stamped using Ranger Archival Distress ink - black soot on the image panels, reverse of card and envelope and on to a snippet of card
  • Cardinal image coloured using alcohol markers, the snippet image fussy cut out
  • Distress crackle paint applied to the cut out image and, once dry it was adhered to my card front using dimensional foam pads
  • Tim Holtz stencil used with Ranger collage medium and then liberally sprinkled with glamour dust to give both texture and twinkle
  • Stardust stickles to highlight holly and berries

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Craftbubble 2½ (membership required) - CMLI Rudolph Day challenge - USE FABRIC and/or TEXTURE
  2. CRAFT - challenge No. 360 - CHRISTMAS

  4. Christmas Card challenges - challenge No. 21 - ANYTHING (Christmas) GOES
  5. The Craft Barn -  April 24th challenge - COLOUR CHALLENGE, only RED, WHITE and a little BLACK allowed ... I'm hoping the "smidge" of orange for my cardinal's beak won't disqualify my entry.

Don't forget that today is Rudolph Day over at the Scraps of Life blog - hope you will check out the link and maybe enter the challenge, it will remain open until the end of the month ... as a temporary member of their Design Team I'm not sure I'm allowed to enter this challenge right now.

And then it was on to an ATC ...

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippet of black card cut to ATC size and adhere to the ATC blank using Tombow glue
  • Snippet of white card cut slightly smaller than the ATC and gesso'd
  • Distress Crayons in picked raspberry and mermaid lagoon applied and blended with a baby wipe moistened finger
  • I then used the baby wipe and two Tim Holtz stencils to knock back some colour
  • A TCW stencil and a piece of cut and dry foam (inked with Ranger Archival jet black ink) to add a little layering to give "texture"
  • Black Pitt pen ("S" thickness) to lightly trace a border around the edge of the coloured panel and a white gel pen used to add a dot border on the black card
  • Stamplorations background image inked with Memento grape jelly and dabbed randomly .... again for added "texture".... you KNEW I couldn't produce something with NO STAMPING, didn't you?!!!

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Craftbubble 2½ (membership required) - CMLI group's Quarterly challenge use Pantone colours for 2016 - Rose Quartz and Serenity (blue and pink). You can also use the meaning of wellness, order and peace. Google Pantone colour 2016 for colours and/or inspiration.
