Another Saturday, another challenge .....

Hi there peeps,

Hope your weekend is coming along a treat, we had guests join us for dinner last evening and we had a splendid evening. Hubby did one of his splendid curries - yummmm!

Surrogate daughter #2 and her real mum (Dawn) and SD#2 and her hubby, Chris

As you all know, I like to spend Saturday mornings at my craft table and today's no different. I have some new stash (recent prizes as well as shopping) to play with and wanted to play with it along with my old and much loved stash ..... I am loving this colour scheme and these stars and am really happy with this ATC, it made me smile!

  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in black and white
  • White gesso applied to the white snippet
  • Distress Crayons in mustard seed, spiced marmalade and twisted citron applied scribble fashion and blended with a moistened finger
  • Stencils by TCW and Tim Holtz deployed with the aid of a drying out baby wipe and also Ranger Archival jet black ink with a piece of cut and dry
  • Dina Wakely star image and Stamplorations word stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Recollections splatter image stamped using Delicata silver ink
  • Stardust stickles used to trace the almost complete star, to add some sparkle
  • White gel pen used to doodle a border on the black matting layer

I love the background you created behind the bird, Kathy. I tend to leave things plain but I'd love to be able to pull this off.
