And welcome to Snippets Sunday!

Morning all,

Hope you've all been keeping your cool in the recent spell of hot and sticky weather. Last evening I met up with my cousin and a pal, the three of us enjoyed a good old catch up over a very pleasant dinner - wish we got the opportunity to catch up more often but both distance and diaries mean we only get the chance a few times in a year. We had a very nice evening and a lovely meal too.

It's that time of the week when Di (and don't forget, Parsnip) encourages us all to use up some of those pesky SNIPPETS of card which (left to their own devices) seem to build up on a card makers desk, however hard she (or he) tries! I like to enter most weeks simply as a challenge to use some of the little beggars! This make uses up at least four little snippets - YAY!

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card: Black self adhesive, orange, white
  • White gesso
  • Ranger Distress Crayons (yes, you KNEW it wouldn't be long before they came out again!): picked raspberry and mustard seed, blended with my trusty moistened finger
  • TCW stencils used with both a baby wipe and archival ink to add interest and texture
  • Stamplorations sentiments stamped on to a white card snippet using Ranger Archival jet black  ink and cut out. Memento inks used (DTP method): tangelo and rosebud
  • Inkadinkado image stamped using Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Plaid dimensional gloss applied to the sentiment strips

I'll be entering the above make in to the following challenges:-
  1. Pixie's Crafty Workshop - challenge No. 233 - USE SNIPPETS
  2. Crafty Gals Corner - challenge No. 75 - A POP OF COLOUR
