Welcome to the mid week post .. it's WOYWW

Morning all

Hope your week is coming along well.

If you saw my post on Monday then I HOPE you will have enjoyed the review, (see it here, if you missed it) maybe even found it helpful. Anyhoo, once I'd finished I had a piece of A4 card with six almost identical panels on;  I wondered what I could do with them. A quick look at an ATC revealed they were almost perfectly sized to turn in to ATC's so that's exactly what I did .... the photo below shows the ATC's laid out in the order I reviewed the crayons on Monday so, column #1 is Distress Crayons, column #2 is Crayola Slick Stix and column #3 is the Maped Colour'peps ..... there is only one in the third column and this is because the other sample turned out to be just a little smaller than the others. I MAY yet turn it in to an ATC but .... we'll see.

I used the same TCW stencils (small circles and faux brick) on all of the ATC's, along with a coneflower image by Clearly Inspired, inked using Ranger Archival jet black and all ATC's were matted on to snippets black card so, double bonus Recycling AND the use of snippets - YAY!

Additional materials used:
  1. Top Left: TCW stencil and Ranger Archival jet black ink applied with a piece of cut and dry foam. Hero Arts sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival jet black. Visible Image border stamped using Delicata golden Glitz around the matting layer. Stardust stickles to embellish the coneflower
  2. Bottom Left: TCW stencil and Ranger Archival jet black ink applied with a piece of cut and dry foam. Hero Arts sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival jet black. Stardust stickles used to embellish the border and coneflower
  3. Top Middle: TCW stencil and Ranger Archival jet black ink applied with a piece of cut and dry foam. Precious Remembrance Shop sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival jet black. Stardust stickles used to embellish coneflower and a white gell pen used to doodle a border.
  4. Bottom Middle: TCW stencil and Ranger Archival jet black ink applied with a piece of cut and dry foam. Stamplorations sentiment and Paper Artsy splatter stamped using Ranger Archival jet black. White gel pen used to doodle a border on the matting layer
  5. Top Right: TCW stencil and Ranger Archival jet black ink applied with a piece of cut and dry foam. Stamping Up sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival jet black. Visible Image mini flourish border stamped around the outer edge of the coloured panel using Ranger Archival sepia ink. Stardust stickles used to embellish coneflower and a white gel pen used to doodle a border around the edge of the matting layer
How did it look originally?

As you can see, I've started with virtually the same ATC but have tried to make each one just a little different. Here's a closer view of just one of the set . . . . . I THINK this one's my favourite of the bunch; well - it IS right now!.

I'll be entering this particular ATC for the following challenges:-
  1. Glitter 'n Sparkle - challenge No. 191 - RECYCLED ..... my crayon review recycled in to individual ATC's + snippets (those ALMOST useless bits left over from a piece of card)
  2. Addicted to Stamps - challenge No. 128 - FLOWERS
  3. Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - challenge No. 35 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Dragonfly Dreams - June 5th challenge - SAY IT WITH FLOWERS
  5. Crazy4challenges - challenge No. C4C339 - MAKE IT FLORAL

And now, since it is What's On Your Work Desk Wednesday ... here's a sneaky peek at my desk. I'll be entering this pic over at WOYWW #366, where I was originally entry #17 but now appear to be #16!!!

Hi Kathy, gorgeous ATC's. love the colours. It's also cool to see a side by side comparison of the crayons. I'd heard that the Crayola ones were pretty much the same as the DI ones, just a bit more affordable, and from your images, they do look much the same.Have a great week, hugs, Shaz #9 xxx

A what a fabulous set of ATCs, love them all but I'm with you on the face, that is such a great sentiment. Loving these summery colours, so warm and deliscious. Good luck with your challenge entries matey.

ToC looking great, I am soooo missing mine, fingers are itching to craft, making do with some crochet while away.

Of course, they were just asking to be turned into ATCs! And very successfully too. I love the result. Amazing how different brands have different results.
