It's that time of the week ... WOYWW

Morning all,

After a very quiet weekend my week started off really manic

Recently hubs and I decided to have a day playing tourist ..

Harbourside with the S.S. Great Britain in the background

Chose a nice restaurant to dine in whilst we were out and about
A steak and a glass of something chilled and fizzy - YUMMM!
More sightseeing on the  way back to the bus stop!
That was Monday and then, yesterday, I spent the day in Worcester and surrounding areas, yes, I was catching up with crafting pal's and visiting Crafty Ideas in to the bargain!

Debbie, me and Cherry - at Crafty Ideas

My stash from Crafty Ideas
Even managed a little crafting since my last post too - in the form of an ATC ....

And a closer view of the acrylic silver pearl ink
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippet of white card cut to ATC size
  • Nicolas Roc (Craft Stamper free image) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Alcohol markers used to colour
  • Rubber Stamp Tapestry peg stamps stamped using Ranger Archival library green and Memento pear tart/rosebud - to provide "foliage" around the house
  • Judith larger foliage stamped using Memento tuxedo black, to simulate trees, embellished with pro marker in lime
  • Lindsay Mason sentiment and Recollections scribbled border stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Acrylic ink in silver pearl added to water in a mini mister and sprayed over the ATC, to add sheen and texture

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:-
  1. Through The Craft Room Door - August 9th challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Craft Your Passion - challenge No. 324 - ANYTHING GOES

And now, since it IS What's On Your WorkDesk Wednesday challenge No. 375, here's a peek at the mess I'll be entering this week - I'm entry #11 for the second successive week!

I love your ATC, it's very pretty and the soft colours work really well. But what I love most are those sets of drawers in your workroom - what is it about lots of little drawers like that? I just love 'em!

Terrific tourist pic's! Glad you had a lovely day out on Monday.

Loving the look of your new stash from Worcester. Looks like you all had fun. We are so similar in our stamp tastes . . . I have those Lavinia circles too . . .and love everything you bought.

Now then . . . I threw that house CS cover stamp away . . . but you've put it to good use! Bravo!

Glad you had a good week Kathy and crafty retail therapy is the best, and with crafty friends too. Love your photos and makes me realise it is high time we visited the SS Great Britain as we have been talking about it since we moved here and still haven't done it! I wonder if your surprise today was the same as mine. x

Happy Belated WOYWW. Gorgeous ATC. I used to make and swap a lot of them, but not for probably at least 3 years! I feel a project coming on. Thanks for sharing your photos of your trips. Ali x #34
