Woo Hoo, it's the weekend ...

Hi there readers and followers,

Hope your weekend is coming along well ... we're unwinding - WHY? I hear you cry ... well, hubby took me to Venice this week and we've just come back from four idyllic days there, how I love Venice - wanna see how much I love Venice? I PROMISE I won't share so many pix that you either want to go or decide you sooooo do NOT want to go!

Ponte de Sosperi/Bridge of Sighs
The view across the bay from outside the Hotel Danieli!
And looking from the Hotel Danieli at the Doges Palace
Piazza San Marco/St Marks Square
Basilica San Marco
St Marks Clock tower
The Grand Canal - taken from a Vaporetti/water bus
Rialto Bridge
The Island of Murano - famous for it's glass ware
Rialto Bridge
And a closer view

And now, for some crafting ... right back in to it, you can't keep a crafter down, especially after a few days enforced absence!

How fabulous to visit Venice Kathy. I did have a day trip there in the 70's which I have never forgotten, and your photos are beautiful and brought it all back to me. I love your card with the pretty Lavinia Bloom and the pastel colours work really well. x

TFS your photos, Kathy. It brought back memories of my first visit to Venice in the early 70s, when I went there with a friend on a day trip. It was about 40 years before I got to go there again. Wonderful place!

Super CAS card. I love the pastel colours, so pretty. xx

WOW! Not sure what to comment on first Kathy ... Venice or your card! Looks like you had brilliant weather for your trip and Venice is such an idyllic city isn't it? Hubby took me for a 'special' birthday a few years ago and it was just perfect. Your card is equally perfect and brilliant CAS use of those pastel tones and just too cute. Thanks for playing along with us at Less is More this week.

Oh! I loved seeing your Venice pics - and the rest you posted later - such a wonderful place to visit and they brought back so many memories. I love how you can pop over there for 4 days - from Australia, it almost takes 4 days to get there ha ha! Not really, but it seems like it - certainly one couldn't contemplate going so far for only 4 days:( What a lovely time of year to be there - and what a boost after your winter.
Now to cards - your pastel birthday card is super Kathy - I'm very impressed you could put your mind to creating for the LIM challenge after being in another world this week. Thank you so much for visiting my blog too - very generous of you:)
