Thursday, it'll soon be the weekend!

Sorry to read of so many of you having so much rain this week, hope it's FINALLY stopped for you all and that the sun has (perhaps) made an appearance. The gardeners need the rain .. and this has inspired today's first make to share with you .....

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Hopefully you can see the sparkle
Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 5¼ x 4" and 5" x 3¾"
  • One piece of DCWV DP (from the Old World stack) cut to 5¼" x 4"
  • Studio 490 images stamped using Ranger Archival inks in library green and vibrant fuchsia
  • Stampendous sentiment stamped using Ranger Archival vibrant fuchsia ink
  • Diamond stickles on the stem and flower

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:
  1. Crafty Gals Corner - challenge No. 123 - ADD FLOWERS
  2. Penny's Paper Crafty - challenge No. 327 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday challenge - May 17th - SIMON SAYS SPARKLE
  4. Work It Wednesday - April challenge - APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS

I then wondered if I could make the same but different .... instead of using DP I used the flower head to make my pink backing paper ...

And then, on to something almost the polar opposite of the above kind of girly CAS card .... if you visit this blog regularly then you will know I SELDOM use Designer Paper ... not for ages and then, twice this week!!!

Hi Kathy, what a terrific masculine card. Love that widely striped background Designer Paper. It is such a good contrast to the lines of the fellow holding his umbrella. I especially like the way you've used the same Designer Paper as a matte for the image but have reversed the stripes. Thanks so much for joining in with our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.

Fabulous cards Kathy and I love the fwo different versions of the flower card and what a great idea to use the flower head to make a patterned edge, and the masculine card with the wide black striped dp which complements the black silhouette image perfectly. x
