Welcome to WOYWW

Morning,

Hope you week is going well ... judging from my ATC, mine's simply "flying"!!! - sorry!

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in both black and white
  • Stampers Anonymous plane image and sentiment stamped in black using Versafine onyx black and Ranger Archival jet black inks
  • Once dry, I used a sponge to apply Distress Inks ink weathered wood and salty ocean to the white sections and then salty ocean sponged through a Tim Holtz stencil
  • Tsukineko white gelly roll gel pen used to doodle a border

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. Stamp, Ink Paper - challenge No. 100 - CARD MAKERS CHOICE
  2. Through The Craft Room Door - May 23rd challenge - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Tuesday Throwdown - challenge No. 344 - ANYTHING GOES

And now, on to the Thank You card, always handy IMHO! I was reading the blog of a pal of mine (the lovely Darnell, perhaps you know her too?) and she mentioned UCB ... which, apparently, stands for Unfinished Card Bits .. well, we ALL have some of those now - don't we? So, I rummaged, and found an image panel ... and, after a few minutes thought - the card below was born .. UCB now FC (Finished Card!) - result!

My card

The front, back and inside of my card and the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of white card cut to 5¼" x 4" and 5" x 3¾"
  • One piece of grey card cut to 5¼" x 4"
  • Snippets of card in white and grey and previously stamped using MFT splatters and inks in purples and golds ..... I made this a while ago so it would truly be a stab in the dark if I mentioned specific inks however, I reasonably SURE that the gold would be Versacolour
  • Length of white fancy satin ribbon coloured using an alcohol marker to match the darker colour splatter
  • Fiskars sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
  • To co-ordinate the remainder of my card (as I like to do) I used the Fiskars sentiment along with some smaller splatter images from the same set, using Versacolour gold and Memento grape jelly inks

I'll be entering this for the following challenges:
  1. Artistic Inspirations - challenge No. 179 - ANYTHING GOES
  2. Crafting From The Heart - challenge No. 160 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Always Fun - challenge No. 7 - ANYTHING GOES

And, since it IS WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday ... for more details check out Julia's blog here) here's my desk .. Julia and my fellow deskers are celebrating EIGHT YEARS of desk sharing, only sorry I can't join them today but HAPPY ANNIVERSARY or BIRTHDAY .. depending on which way you look at it!

I had a birthday recently and received a fabulous amount of cards and good wishes - I am blessed with terrific friends - thank you to each and every person who took the trouble to make and/or send a card or who passed on birthday greetings by text, e-mail or social media.

Thank you to my cousin and her family for these fabulous celebratory balloons too
