Welcome to my Friday post

Morning peeps,

Hoping that you have had a good week and that the weather has been kind to you too.

I had a nice little play with some new stash, some NBUS whilst making a card earlier in the week and decided to use the same images but using different colours ....

Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in navy and white
  • Distress Ink in tumbled glass applied through a couple of Imagination Crafts stencil using a Tim Holtz mini blending tool and then lightly applied over the entire piece of white card
  • Kaleidacolour mid blue ink from the denim ink pad used to stamp the Imagination Crafts lines and diamonds images and Memento Bahama blue ink to stamp the crackle background
  • Kaisercraft (BOTANICA) leaves and sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink .. I photographed Memento Paris dusk ink but, it turns out, I didn't actually use it on this project - DOH!

I'll be entering the above for the following challenges:-
  1. City Crafter - challenge No. 370 - TWO COLOURS ONLY - black and blue
  2. Crafty Creations - challenge No. 345 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Penny's Paper Crafty - challenge No. 337 - ANYTHING GOES

And, in case you missed that post, this is the card I made earlier in the week using the same images but different colours

And now, since we have passed the mid point to the year ... it's time to start thinking about Christmas cards, to avoid the last minute dash to the finish line!

My card
The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of card (one navy and one white) cut to 14.2cm x 10cm
  • One piece of white card cut to 13.7cm x 9.5cm
  • Creative Expressions border (from CEC803 - Snowflakes kisses) stamped using Memento Paris dusk ink, leaving a narrow gap between the two inked borders
  • Creative Expressions snowflake (from the above set) stamped randomly using Memento Paris dusk ink
  • Paper Artsy sentiment  (JOFY17) stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • White grosgrain ribbon, coloured using a Sharpie marker, and attached to my card panel using Stix2 double sided tape

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Merry Monday - 2nd annual linkup - CHRISTMAS IN JULY - this would have fitted #251 monochromatic blue

I love the pretty ATC's stencilled background and the darker inked leaves and sentiment stand out perfectly, and then the great snowflake border on your beautiful Christmas card and both in such pretty blue tones. Congratulations also Kathy on being a favourite over at the HLS ATC Challenge. Hope you have a good weekend. x
