Saturday post ....

Hey there readers,

Couple of crafting makes to share with you today ... the first is a prickly ATC ... using, for a change, my pro markers this time as I SOOOO wanted some very vibrant colours.

My ATC
And a closer view of the actual image and sparkle
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in purple and white
  • Woodware "succulents" image stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Pro Marker alcohol markers to colour .... the faux "Regency stripe" was actually unintentional - my yellow marker is running low on ink and the broad chisel top produced the above result, however, I quite like it!
  • Kaisercraft Aztec borders stamped using Memento rosebud ink
  • CASual Friday sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • White Tsukineko gelly roll gel pen used to doodle a border on the purple layer
  • Stardust stickles used to bling up the flower petals and centre
  • Plaid dimensional gloss applied to the pot to make it look a tad more "ceramic"

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-
  1. Passion for Promarkers - challenge No. 407 - ADD GLITTER
  2. Paper Shelter - challenge No. 304 - BLOOMING DAYS
  3. Creative Fingers - challenge No. 135 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Simply Create Too - challenge No. 130 - USE FLOWERS
  5. Happy Little Stampers - August challenge - DOODLE

And now for a card ... in honour of the Balloon Fiesta

My ONE LAYER Card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:

  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • One piece of white card cut to 14.2 x 10cm - for my insert
  • Inkadinkado balloon and cog images along with Happy Little Stampers sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black (although I used London fog on the insert)
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils to add colour to my balloon

I'll be entering the above make for the following challenges:-

  1. Simply Less Is More - challenge No.341 - ONE LAYER CARD WEEK and the theme is VEHICLE
  2. Pattie's Creations - challenge No. 137 - ANYTHING GOES
  3. Making Memories - challenge No. 8 - ANYTHING GOES
  4. Emerald City - challenge No. 2 - ANYTHING GOES

It's the weekend of the Bristol Balloon Fiesta and we are lucky enough to (occasionally) be on their flight path. Yesterday morning they were fairly close ..... in previous years we've been lucky enough to have them fly right over the house but this was as close as they came! This morning? Just two and they were far too far away to photograph!

This was not long after 07:15 .. though looking at my camera, it rather looks
like I forgot to change it's clock at the last change! Ooopsie, hardly worth bothering now, for 8 weeks or so!

Two great makes Kathy and I love the colourful cactus ATC and the glittery flower and shine on the pot, then your prettily patterned and coloured balloon, and a great photo of the balloons in the distance. Hopefully it will be good enough weather this weekend for them to fly each day. We actually went to it once but that particular afternoon the conditions were not good for flight so only about two or three went up on tethers. x
