Welcome to my Friday post - it's nearly the weekend!

Morning readers,

How's your week been? We've had a tremendously busy one with friends coming to stay on Monday and Tuesday and then it was a girls night out for me and my two oldest friends, then yesterday hubby was setting up for the Bristol Model Engineering and Model Making Exhibition in Thornbury this weekend - guess who will be crafting without guilt this weekend then? Yep, that would be MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

And then ... I recently made a One Layer Card and I quite liked it so .... I don't often batch make although I DO sometimes make two "the same but different ....

My card

The front, back and inside of my card along with the front and back of my envelope

Materials used:
  • White C6/A2, 250gsm, card and matching sized envelope
  • Two pieces of card (one white and one maroon DCWV textured) cut to 14.2cm x 10cm
  • One piece of white card cut to 13.7cm x 9.5cm
  • Inkadinkado balloon and cogs along with the Happy Little Stampers sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour image ... if you look at the cards (side by side) below then you will hopefully see that this  one is a darker red too

I'll be entering the above for challenge No. 52 over at Moving Along With The Times where the challenge is: THINGS BEGINNING WITH B.

And the original? Well, here are the two makes, side by side

The two makes
And, though I expect you know this ... I made an ATC!

My ATC
Materials used:
  • ATC blank
  • Snippets of card in both red and white
  • Little Claire singing robins and Penny Black sentiment stamped using Tim Holtz archival black ink
  • Penny Black border stamped using Tim Holtz archival grey ink
  • Faber Castell polychromos pencils used to colour image
  • Creative Expressions dotty image stamped around the outer edge of the red layer using the Tim Holtz archival black ink
  • Creative Expressions snowflake/dotty image stamped using Memento Bahama blue ink

  2. Love to Craft - challenge No. 13 - ANYTHING GOES

I love both balloon cards, but the matted one has a slight edge on the OL version (no pun intended).

The robins make lovely ATCs AND cards.

Enjoy your guilt free crafting xxx

Wow Kathy you have been busy and love the new balloon card, and the red layer really complements the red balloon and just adds that extra something, then your sweet and fun robins on the ATC and I adore the snowflakes and dotty patterns stamped in the background, and it works equally well on the card and you have found room for two more of the sweet robins. I love your colouring throughout too. Glad you have had a great week and enjoy your weekend. x
